Thought about the location too. I need to see the path my cart is moving on and first thought of mounting the cam on my cart. as a second thought: before you purchase the T265 make sure you understand how you can implement your odometry for the device. I read through the article and had no idea at the end of how I would have to accomplished this. My cart uses an encoder attached to one of its wheels and produces around 3 ticks per mm of robot movement.

Hi Marcia, the PIR to identify if someone is in front of your InMoov, but PIRs canhave different ranges up to 12 meters, depends on your choice if use. Same with Kinect or Orbbec Astra (I think I will go with an Orbbec product) On NeoPixel it is the ring but be careful on what size to get. Good luck

It is in one of the tutorials how to make them. It is not shop bought, from what I remember just two pieces of metal cut to size
Hi Marcia, I started with M3 and M4 hex bolts and nuts, then when the need arose I got other ones, M2 for eyes I think. You end up with a nice collection of various lengths. I think the flat cable is just 14 strand with one side marked red.

Hello World, Today is a good day 100% of the head printed and overall 30% of “Jeeves” InMoov is printed. Dry assembly and insertion of Microsoft LifeCam Studio V2 in right eye. Next week starts the challenge of soldering the NervoBoards and assembly while continuing printing the rest of the body. Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Chuah Wei Jie, I am only printing in ABS-X, sorry my 3D printing knowledge and experience is insufficient to be able to help. Maybe someone else with more experience can help.
My first parts were printed at .24 and didn’t fit so well. I then printed at .15 and they all fit together nicely. Also looked a lot better as finished product.

For the rectangular hole I sanded a tiny bit on the bits that fit in. For the rest I only took off bits that should not be there, it was a (very) tight fit.
Still trying on different calibration, and it still doesn’t fit. I’m using PLA and the calibrator like always exceeding less than 1mm? Not really sure about that. Is the wall thickness that affect the printing exceeding the original scale?

Hi Chuah Wei Jie, I have loaded the setting I am using in CURA for my ABS-X, different but they more or less work for me. With each printer and each print material they will be different. big difference I chose to print in 0.1 Have a good day

Hi Michael ! I believe it will be. Actually I’m using Cura for the printing too. the thing that I wonder is that I’m not sure the setting of the Basic and Advanced column will provide a good printing result or not. I had uploaded my setting interface in my album. What do you think?

Has anyone integrated “Microsoft LifeCam Studio V2” web cam into the eyes?
Yes, it requires some mods, but it works well. Microphone is not very responsive inside the head, the the video is good.
You have great timing; I was just getting ready to install my EZB Camera in the other eye, so I had the assy apart. I took some photos; keep in mind, I just did this as a quick and easy setup; if you think about it, you can do a much cleaner job than I did. Photos are in my album area

Lol part of the preparation was making sure, I was sufficiently motivated to continue to the end, then the construction of a little workshop in the garden for building InMoov and buying equipment etc.
I think you mean: InMoov gets his own house in the garden ? 🙂
