Hello InMoovers,
I like to include the FSR (Force Sensitive Sensor) to all my finger servo’s. https://learn.adafruit.com/force-sensitive-resistor-fsr For the starter_kit I’ve re-designed some servo adapter things, to make it possible to slide the servo forwards/backwards. Next step, is the position-holder for the FSR.
To get a idea how it looks:…[Read more]
BTW, the setup will be the same like this:

First servo slider test run: tomorrow I hope to add the (to big) FSR sensor and see what it will do 🙂 (I’m still waiting for the smaller FSR’s)
hey Marten nice to see you are working on this. can’t really see from the picture how the servo will be able to move. is it mounted on the blue part? but then it would need 2 screw holes on each side in the blue part? and just realize that I do not know what servo make/type you are using.
Hi Juerg,
The servo is mounted with two screws to the blue part. the blue part has the option to slide in the light grey part. Here you will see both parts separated: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d25ghmdlwmo08mn/ServoHolder_Slider.jpg?dl=0
The servo which I’m using, is this…[Read more]

Just sharing my led finger tip sensors. I plan to use an IR sensor in the hand to detect objects.
you might have better sources for IR sensors – my own experiments and results are rather poor. Another issue might be integrating the sensors result into the control loop. I think without an optical identification of the part you want to grab you won’t be able to gain much. Another issue is the current joint angels of your finger parts. These…[Read more]
I am trying to find out if many people are using Gael\’s finger tip sensors on their InMoov\’s. Is there really any benefits of having the sensors on the finger tips. Thanks, Mike
Depends on if your happy with fingers that can move buts that all they can do,,, the sensors allow the fingers to realise when the have touch an object and stop the servos from moving any further,, this allows Inmoov to pick up objects that have different sizes/shapes,,- now this all done with the software,,, so this is where the guys over at…[Read more]
