Fred’s Brain Part 5
Fred is a non-standard Inmoov.
The head in particular has a number of modifications, starting with the Advanced Eyes from Dakota76 and the Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi Spy Camera mounted in one of Fred’s eye’s.
The other major difference, is in the way I control the servos, using the PCA9685 I2C 16 channel driver.
MyRobotLab supports these drivers as servo drivers as it does the Arduino,
but the default Inmoov program does not 🙁
For this reason, the Fred_Inmoov program is being developed to fill the needs of experimenters 🙂
To be clear, if you have built your Inmoov as a standard Inmoov with the Nervo Boards, you are far better off running the standard Inmoov program, particularly if your a beginner in the world of building robots, it has been developed and improved over many years.
If however you like to experiment and have some understanding on different wiring schemes, then this program might be for you.
