    When your building a robot, sometimes, you need to sense a signal or a voltage that is well over the rating of your input.
    This is not a real problem, because you can use a voltage divider to drop the voltage down a proportional amount.

    I did this with Fred’s battery monitoring inputs, where the Battery voltages can be in excess of 20Vdc and the input on an Arduino is just 5V.
    I used a simple voltage divider network and now I can monitor any voltage up to 30Vdc using an arduino and MyRobotLab.
