The Pololu optical encoder with an homemade nine arms polished stainless steel wheel. The wheel deliver 36 impulse per turn.

Electric actuator 5V, 20 mm coarse in 1 sec. I do it around a Pololu motor and an optical encoder with trapezoidal bolt and screw from Roton.
