Hi gang…it’s been several years since I was active…I am starting over printing my InMoov robot. First one was started with ABS and I had a lot of problems with parts not fitting correctly. Hi Bob, Nice you want to start over again. I bought a Prusa Mk4s 3D printer especailly for this challenging project. Also in a newbie learning stage. I’m printing with PETG filament from Prusa and I’m very satisfied with the results until now (just printed the fingers, handcovers, wrist). Started to assemble the torso and also made a stand from an old office chair and chrome pole. This allows me to move and work on InMOOV much easier. Also included back of torso. I had a difficult time trying to figure out how to mount the servo holder but I think this is correct.

Just purchased a 3D printer based on Makerbot Replicator 2X called PowerSpec 3D Pro. I hope to make some great progress now!

Hi Gael, Yes I do plan on printing the whole robot. Up until now, I have been using our public library’s 3D printer and decided to purchase my own. I did not want to spend the high cost of a MakerBot 2X Replicator which is what the library has. I have found a printer based on MakerBot called PowerSpec 3D Pro with dual extruders that handles ABS…En afficher davantage
