Hi gang…it’s been several years since I was active…I am starting over printing my InMoov robot. First one was started with ABS and I had a lot of problems with parts not fitting correctly. Also was learning how to use a 3D printer. Fast forward, I now see that there is a version 2 or i2Hand that was developed…I’m guessing that some of the issue…[Read more]

    • Hi Bob, Nice you want to start over again. I bought a Prusa Mk4s 3D printer especailly for this challenging project. Also in a newbie learning stage. I’m printing with PETG filament from Prusa and I’m very satisfied with the results until now (just printed the fingers, handcovers, wrist). Mostly I follow Gaels instructions about the infill, wall…[Read more]

Started to assemble the torso and also made a stand from an old office chair and chrome pole. This allows me to move and work on InMOOV much easier. Also included back of torso. I had a difficult time trying to figure out how to mount the servo holder but I think this is correct.

Took the seat off of an old office chair. This will act as a base for the torso to get mounted to. I added an adjustable metal pole to this stand that you can see in another picture.

Just purchased a 3D printer based on Makerbot Replicator 2X called PowerSpec 3D Pro. I hope to make some great progress now!

Hi Gael, Yes I do plan on printing the whole robot. Up until now, I have been using our public library’s 3D printer and decided to purchase my own. I did not want to spend the high cost of a MakerBot 2X Replicator which is what the library has. I have found a printer based on MakerBot called PowerSpec 3D Pro with dual extruders that handles ABS…[Read more]
