fantastic work!

Mark is right, the lower the layer height the better. I was able to fit stuff together with .3 layers until I got to the worm gears and piston shafts. needed to go all the way to .12 to get those to operate smoothly. always had my infill on 15% for most parts, the “load bearing” parts or parts I thought would be stressed I went up to 30% infill.…[Read more]
agreed, can’t wait to see some inmoov meetups, chatting to each other
good choice! there are some nice head mounts floating around too

Gael is aware of the situation, not sure what his plans are with it though.
Hello, The map was setup a while back and the person that set it up needs to go in and make it more public again so that people that add their locations. I wasn’t able to add mine either.
Thank you for your comment. How can we let him know?

So is there any estimate on how many complete/incomplete inmoovs there are in the world? seems like there are about 20 or so completed with videos on them and at least a few hundred being worked on that I can find documentation on so there are probably about 3-5K worldwide I am estimating? I am wondering how many nervos have been purchased.
Hello, Way, WAY above those numbers! The current estimation 16/03/19 is above a thousand built partly complete. We have no idea how many complete robot there is. To give you an exemple, I was recently visiting a school, where they have 3 complete (with legs) InMoov. They never posted pictures or videos of their robots… The 1000 clones is based…[Read more]
Well I’d say your number is likely higher.. due to the fact that the InMoov community has over 6,000 users now. IF you figure only HALF of those people built there InMoovs in one form or another.. and than add the fact as you said a school had 3 of them.. and I’m going to be building 2 of them .. one male one female. So he’ll have a companion LOL…[Read more]
right on! where abouts you located? southern Idaho here.
great thanks, think I will take it a lil lower and try a .1 layer height and see how that goes.
oO I like the orange neck. have you started with any electronics yet?
Actually i had a few servos sitting around from other projects and setting up the eye mechanism , jaw and neck also have the all cameras will be working more on that part next week , right now i am doing a crash course in myrobotlab which i wae not familiar with, i been using other programs , but so far no problem , trying to get the prints done…[Read more]
I was able to calibrate my printer to get most of the parts to push fit. However still struggling with getting some neck pistons and shafts that work together right off the print-bed. I got a prusa I3. What slicer software and general settings are peeps using? I was going with 20% infill and 3 perimeters with .25mm layer height. Thinking about…[Read more]
I have an anet a6 and found that I got best results using slic3r pe and using .16 layer. I also used 30% infill. First piston I did, I had .24 and it was a pain, when I went to .16 all others are smooth as.
This is wonderful! great work. I look forward to seeing your progress.
Looks Great, I am pretty much same spot as your are in the build. what did you use to hold down the cameraboard? the holes are tiny, I was thinking about some silicone to hold them in place but maybe the middle eye part will hold it down tight enough.
prove it 😛
I am new to this how do i add pics
figured it out no probs
Hmm… yeah ya know I am not to sure about that one. Are you having any errors thrown around that? I am just now starting to play with code myself.
Looking Great!
Been pumping out the parts for a little over a month now and just about got everything but the legs and cover parts printed. Now starting to assemble, still need some nervo boards. hoping the back order isn’t too delayed as I am ordering one tomorrow.
That is going to be one colourful robot 🙂
Hmm. I will look into this a little bit I work at a newspaper and will ask the digital editor what we use for things like this, maybe we can get a new one goin while saving all the current info on it. I would be willing to tinker with it.
Hello, I got 5 of the HS-805BB for the lower stomach, head and possibly clavi part of shoulder. I have been finding some modified sleeves online to use smaller MG996r for something possibly. I noticed some people are using them for shoulder but I am still undecided. I got the chest and back plates assembled but havnt meshed them I also got most…[Read more]

Well the problem is that the owner needs to make it public so that people can pin in, right now the link only allows viewing, or whomever owns it could share it with someone that can share it with new people.

Just started printing all the parts and trying to source some servos
Hi Karthos.. please feel free to post your findings on the servos. and which ones you are using?
Very good. I’ve also found in the writings this.: 1 x HK15298 or MG996r servo motors SO it appears for most parts you can subsitute an HK15298 with a MG996r .. Good to know 🙂
Yes I also cannot add myself, it seems that they need to make that ability public on google\’s my maps.
Hello, it’s been almost two years that the map is not working… Some help came to try to fix it, but it is still not resolved unfortunately.
