    • Profile picture of Gael Langevin
Gael Langevin replied 12 years, 1 month ago

Hi Balse, this is a recurrent question on the forum. 🙂 Unfortunatly I design everything with Blender and my files are a real mess made of exported STL’s and re-imported STL’s., I do not want to share them, also because they contain almost all of my iterations and what I’m working on for the legs. Too many personal things in there. 🙂

You are right that a standard M8 nut won’t fit the slots (see picture).

The thing is when a steppermotor moves slow it has more torque than the servo.
I lifted 2.5 kilo at slow speed.

We come to some very similar conclusions. The reason I designed the screwthreads for the bicep this way was for to keep speed, torque, and printability. Steppers are heavier also. I screwed the servo bed in place rather than gluing it and I added a couple of tabs to hold the forearm cover on.

Nice work! Is the coqated steel nylon doing a good job, doesn’t it strech? I ave never used that but it seems interesting.

Oh I see you have mounted the the hand on the wrong side of the wrist. Nothing bad technicaly, it is only for the eyes, I then feel like the hand isn’t correctly aligned with the forarm.

Here’s a few pictures of my Inmoov Project so far. I have the right arm and Bicep built and operating. I used 20 Lb nylon coated steel leader line to operate the fingers. I found that feeding the line in from the finger tips worked good, I also connected the 2 lines at the tips of the fingers.

Very good! Very explicit. It is interesting to see in which order you add parts. I will add your video to the “Assembly” tab since it is ok with you.

He can navigate to a location that you select with a accuracy of 200mm he needs to be calibrated and localization needs to be tuned before he can leave the room he’s action servers listen for a location when a location is received he goes there

Really great! 200mm is quite accurate. It must be surprising to see. I was thinking, if you would add the covers on the biceps of the arms, you will gain in strength and the arms won’t wobble during arm movements.
