Hi everyone,
I’m a journalist based in Berlin, and am writing an article about InMoov. I’m fascinated by the project and would like to find out more about how people are progressing with the build, your motivations, inspiration and any challenges you’ve encountered along the way.
So, if you’d like to share your story or would be happy for me to…[Read more]
Hi Natalie Ask any questions you want, InMoov is such an unusual project, you just get hooked by it. I stumbled across it because I am learning software programming and wanted to also try a bit of 3D printing. I think the first I saw of it was some high school kid on the internet using a wooden version of an InMoov hand for his exams. He was…[Read more]
Hi Lorn,
Thanks so much for your message. Your story is fascinating. I do have a few more questions, if you don’t mind.
Where do you live? What do you do for a living? What do you do for fun / leisure? How did you find out about InMoov and what attracted you to it? Do you have your own 3D printer? What do you hope to achieve in the end? Any…[Read more]

@admin Hello! the nervo board set is just for one hands, arm anв shoulder or for all robot? Thank you!
If you purchased one set, it is for the right or left arm, hand.
You need 2 sets to build both left and right arms, hands.
Ps I’m not a admin of this site just a builder of Inmoov.
You need 2 sets for both left and right arms, hand and shoulder

been printing since feb 2 2017 assembling the forearms and hands now, has anyone used the raspberry pi with the 16 channel pi hat to control the servos? any insight would help. thanks
Yes. You can do that if you use MyRobotLab. http://myrobotlab.org/service/Adafruit16CServoDriver

Clearance problems with the rob rings hitting the outer casing
Hi Steve, You need to mound the Rob Rings under the servo-pulley ! So it looks like this: http://www.inmoov.fr/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/DSC06441.jpg
Regards, Marten
Thanks Martin, I seem to have missed the obvious .

Little dude looks like a rock star!
My inMoov hand is turning out well
Interesting color scheme you have there. I like the back of the hand is there any signification to that coloring?
Thank you, there is not any significant reason behind the color choice except its aesthetic appeal.
I do like the colors scheme, definitely an artistic look .
Painted most parts of the arm and fingers so I’ve started assembly. Watched over by my R2 D2 I built a few years ago

Shoulder, Torso and Top Stomach assembled
Wow Richard that looks amazing. Have you got arms to go on it yet?
I have both Bicep printed, started assembling
Hi folks, I printed all parts for my left arm in grey now regret not printing them in white. We use grey mostly in our studio as for some reason it seems to print better. We are printing in pla. So I’ve bonded parts together and am sanding a filling prior to etch prime and paint them shiny white. I have all my servos and a roll of that special…[Read more]
I’m in Norfolk, UK. I started my InMoov at the beginning of the year. I have complete the eyes/face and am now working on the rest of the head. I’m hoping to complete the head by the end of March, but it’s taking me longer than expected.
It might be good to get a group of us together in the uk to meet up and discuss progress and show off what we all have achieved
Yes I’m up for that. I’d like to get a little bit further first, but it would probably drive me to make more progress. How can we contact other builders?
Hi Steve, I posted up on the google forum about this early this week. There are loads of Inmoov builders across the world but we don’t know each other. The original Inmoov map now does not work and I digested we have a page that we all put our location on with perhaps an email address. With that we could make contact with each other and get a…[Read more]
The past few days have been challenging. Who knew you could fit so many pieces inside the head. I finally have the head rotation and jaw servo working correctly. I can’t wait to add the skull and eyes on the head again this week.
My neck rotation gears are very tight. Did you have this problem?
Yes. I added some grease to the gears and loosened the screws on skull back.
