    Hi again!! I have used Muscle Sensor V3 from Advancer Technologies to control InMoov arm. For the moment the system works like this:

    Maybe a possible spring for tendons ?

    • Profile picture of Fred
      Fred replied 11 years, 9 months ago

      Gael, do you think that one of those springs is usable? I am thinking to this one mainly:
      d = 0.70
      L0 = 11.10
      Ln = 13.46
      Fn = 30.70
      F0 = 4.50

      Actually the type you selected should be fine, but I have no idea how much tension would be required. I suggest getting a cheap box of various springs on ebay and run some test, then we will know what is the best.

          Its very useful to have.

          most springs are expensive if you buy just 20.

    This is how I see a spring added to the retraction tendon. In this set up we avoid forcing on the servo either way of rotation and it also avoid losing tension in the tendons.

        It is not the derivative :

        that you used for the pulleys?

        • Profile picture of Fred
          Fred replied 11 years, 9 months ago

          No. It’s your pulleys, with a modification inspired by the derivative 233923 : no need print again pulleys, just drill and use small wood screws. I used little nuts instead of washers (I did not have washers so small).

          The spring called “ressort tension” is more interesting I think, as I already suggested in various posts to use a spring on the retract tendon to keep both tendons always with a correct tensionning.Images intégrées 1

            I try to use a spring on the retract tendon retraction in a few days because the tension on the servo is too strong and it suffers from this tension.

            What kind of spring do you use or recommend ?

    Jaw mechanism and head internals mostly done.

    Having issues with PWM control of MG996R. Default 0,90 etc dont appear to be mapped the same as with the DS929HV's and HS-805BBs?

    Rejigged Eye Mechanism (In Green).
    I couldn't get the existing design to fit together (The original single "small arm" didn't appear to have nearly the reach to move the eyes and would simply hit the EyeCameraMounts?) so i just made it with a 2-arm config (which seems to be more like the original design? Pretty confident i have the latest…[Read more]

      Skin color plastic or is it the light? This time your prints worked well!

        Actually it is brass colored from Protoparadigm. I do like the resemblance to human skin. And the second time around printing worked great. Moving ahead as quickly as I dare.

      Very good! May I suggest coloring in black, blue , green or brown the ring that goes in the eye globe? Wider the iris will be, the less strange he will look 🙂 It ‘s good you decided to reprint the face in white.

            PID values need tweaking.. And i made the video with your default limit (not best values for my reversed build )

              My values are restrained because the mecanism hits the side of the head. As you know you have a better versio of the mecanism and head then me. I use previous versions with little design problems…
