Hi, i am from Germany near Stuttgart. I started with the robot in 2015 and I worked on it when i had some free time. After about 2 years i finally finished my inmoov. I posted some pictures of the current result in my album. It was a really fun project and the result is great. Thanks to Gael for his wonderful work.

thankfully you will be able to get it running without programming. there is a great instruction on how to get myrobotlab with inmoov running.

When using the arduinos directly, you mostly just set the positions of the servo potis.

I have got as far as printing everything in the torso section as seen in the pictures. I had wanted to have this standing on my desk with the head attached but it is obviously going to be top heavy. Would I need to basically continue to the Mid Stomach which seems to have a flat base to create something that would support the head and torso,…En afficher davantage

Prior to joining this site, I printed a complete right hand from PLA as a sort of prototype for experimentation. I used 1.75mm filament for finger joints and super glue for finger pieces. The parts were all printed at .2mm resolution with the recommended printer settings.

Well, PETG is out. After using it for the hand cover, I cannot get it to stick for the life of me for the finger covers. I’ve tried the default layout, upside, standing, and sideways, all with and without supports, rafts, etc. I only chose it over ABS because that’s what I had in orange. Looks like I’ll be ordering orange ABS.

I am doing the main chest area at the moment and I am printing the supports around the Kinect. Have printed the two InterKinectMidV1s for the center. I have printed two InterKinectSideV1’s. We have our right hand, wrist and forearm assembled. After waiting for nuts and bolts to arrive we are going to start having lots more fun soon!

Just wanted to give a update to my build: I haven\’t started building yet. I\’m just planning right now (boring stuff :D). I came to the conclusion, that I want to make my own PCB specifically for this robot just to fit it my needs better! I hope, that I can share more information soon!

I see in the STL parts library there is now new versions of the should and bicep. Do I assume that if I build the new bicep, then I also need to build the new shoulder? Are these new parts compatible with the original forearm and torso?

Some more Mod work on the Forearms,,, The Female Receiver (Hinge /Bolt Section) has been Thickened up a lot to make it as Strong as Possible ( there’s still 3 to 4mm Clearance during Rotation Cycle ) — the Interior has been Gutted-Out so only the Servo Bed Mounts are left ( and the Section where i Stitched to the x2 Parts together),,,
