Removable Forearm
When I started to wire my InMoov there heavent’t been Nervo Bords available so I did set up cabling with the method Mats showed on one of his posts – using Mini-Display cables and terminater boards. I first had my cables go right down into the forearm but this practically disabled the option of removing the forearm from the…En afficher davantage
Thanks for posting this. It looks very good. But I think you have seen it on Markus build, not mine. So all credits to him.
Hi Mats Thanks for pointing this out and sorry Markus for not mentioning you instead. I mixed up your names and it’s Markus who holds the record in disassembling InMoov for transportation in a suitecase!
Hi Juerg, the route that Markus took with these connectors was very impressive. Marten, Leon and I had already been working on the Nervo Board and had started the first batchs when I saw his connections, other wise we might have proposed something similar.

Hi dear, ı need your inmoov left hand ı downloaded but ı cant open, because ıt asked to me key , how can ı download , ı want to printering
I guess that you have the same problem as Humanoid a little bit down on this page. Windows doesn’t have any program to open .stl print files, so when you doubleclick on the file, windows will start the wrong program. Start the program you want to use, and open the file from there.
thanks….
Finally – took me a long time – the video, the description and the parts of the self levelling hand for InMoov

hello juerg interestinf wrist thank you for show us
Hi Juerg, Very good demonstration and video!! This looks very promising for handling beverages and other delicate tasks. I will Google+ your video and add the parts to the derivative collection because it’s very interesting progress.
I just wanted to thank you all for the replies I received for my modified hand from different sources. I hope to see soon a copy of my hand on other InMoov’s!

Hi, Does anyone know how to open the STL files in Windows 7? I keep getting a \’Certificate Trust List\’ error when I try to open the downloaded file? Does anyone know what this means?
This answer is in the Forum: You are using a Windows computer and the default file extension for STL is « Certification Trust List ». It’s a Windows thing. If you click directly on an STL file, you will get this message. You need to right click on an STL file and change the file association to whatever program you are using to view your STL…En afficher davantage
Thanks very much. Hopefully my new 3D printer will have the appropriate software to open these files when it arrives.
Your 3D printer software will be able to read the STL files and convert them to a format that the 3D printer can use (g-code). But if you want to change them, the you need a 3D modeling software. I and many other people use Blender. It’s open source and free to use. You can find it here: https://www.blender.org/ After installing it you also need…En afficher davantage

Head done.. waiting for the nervo board to arrive.. still searching for local shop that sells the servos
Hello Nikodemus! Great! did you set leds in the eyes or did you do something else? I just checked your Nervo Board was shipped on the 23 of December, same date you did the purchase. There might have been some delays with posts due to Christmas and New Year. It should be expected by now! Keep up the good work!
Hello Gael, The LEDs come from the webcam i use.. i just adjust the to make it round to fit the eyes. Yes.. the delay should be from xmas and new year holiday.. cant wait for them to arrive..
Just be careful with price comparison. I once went to a local shop because I did not get the servos as planned from hobbyking and payed about 3 fold for the parts.
i will.. thx for the info. its just because in my country they tax anything above $50 and the tax is ridiculous high..

Hello Taiwan! Thanks for posting your time lapse video! Do you plan on using InMoov in your class once it is built or is it for a personal project?
When I finish,I will plan on using InMoov in my class. I teach computer courses in the public elementary school, government pay my salary. The last two years, I teach about Arduino and maker. Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for anyone making interactive projects. I have been…En afficher davantage

So here is the basic inMoov hand controlled by LEGO MINDSTORMS. My plan is to see how far I can use inMoov and LEGO together
Hi, I used to coach a USFirst FTC Robotics team and we used NXT/EV3 units as the controllers for our bots. We used LabView, which is a more robust version of the Lego Mindstorms software. It loads into the EV3 just like the basic MindStorms software and there is pretty much nothing you can’t do with LabView. And the best part is that shares…En afficher davantage

Hi, I never cease to be amazed at the brainpower I find in these forums. I will keep your offer in mind! Thanks!
Hello Simon, thanks for posting your project on the site, as I told you on Twitter, I did relay your youtube video on my Google+, because I’am sure it can bring interest in many minds! I have never played with MindStorms Lego. But was born in 1964 and Lego was introduced in France in 1967 (I think) and it was my favorite toy and developpement…En afficher davantage
Your awesome project is my focus this year, I am not sure how far I can go but I have a few robotics platforms (LEGO, VEX, Tetrix, Fishertechnik) to use with this project. I may also try and do a native one using servos and your boards.

I’m almost finished with the mechanical build and the testing of each servo individally. Next step is to purchase / build and install all the electronics and batteries. The back is still a bit empty.
Super cool !! Your choice of colors remind me of Leonardo’ super hero: http://inmoov.fr/members/leonardo/album/ How is the Raspi doing for post processing video tracking on MyRobotLab? I will post the Back Parts soon…
You should post your pictures in your album, you might get featured on the side page.
I get about 2 FPS when doing facetracking. That is good enough, however I also get 5 seconds latency, and that a bit to much. I have tried using the camera outside MRL and I get good results from the camera. I can stream at about 30 fps about .2 s latency. That is good. I had a problem that took me some time to figure out. The java runtime that…En afficher davantage
I would love to have this on my desk, I only have a head so far, and that’s controlled by LEGO
I also realised some time ago that using the latest version of MRL which uses OpenCV 3.0 that I would get a low fps result. I was recently mentionning that to Grog and he said he would digg into it. So, using the Lenovo tablet touchpad with the version 1.0.107 gets me with a a fps of approximately 30. Using the version 1.0.954, gets me to a 7/10 fps.

For information, i\’va put an arduino nano in the head to take care of the face animation, actually, i have \’normal mode\’, shown in picture, \’terminator mode\’ (red with round eyes), \’ironman mode\’ (iron man mimic), and \’cylon mode\’ (see galactica)… I will try to make some pictures of other mode and send them also…
Hello Alain, Very nice! Did you try hooking your Arduino to MyRobotLab? You could voice speak to command each face animation. Doesn’t comment reply work for you? I see you post new post after each other. Let us know if you have problems with the site community buttons.
Gael, is there another way than an URL for sending videos?
Hello, The site cannot store videos, only pictures, that is why you need to use URL.
Nice! but you are losing the cameras?
Cute! @Jean, actually cameras could be added behind the grill.
Ah nice with the torso! Hey is that a face protection? Are you building an anti strike police robot?
Hello, here are some picture of my face change, i wanted to animate the face with less behind a grid, to have more freedom about the type of animation that could be possible. Here is the actual result…
Awesome! This is nice to create facial expressions! I’m a bit sorry to see InMoov’s face is gone though, I had been sculpting the face during my whole summer vacation… Anyway, i would love to see a video with various animations and expressions if you already have the code for it. What software do you use or plan to use?
Oh I had similar thoughts about doing something like this and LEGO, looks awesome

Back to work on InMoov after dealing with a bout of Prostate Cancer. Using EZ-Robots for now. I have a lot of controller here so want to use up.
Hello Jack, Sorry to hear about your cancer and very glad to hear you are back on your feet! Bonne Année et Bonne Santé! Keep us updated with your progress.
Nice to see you are back at it. I hope all is well. I’ve seen your progress on EZ Robots forum. Don’t be afraid to post questions here or there if you have any. I am wondering what your plans are for the 2 cameras you have in your InMoov.
Hi Bob, Thanks for the thoughts. Using 2 cameras in head but only one active now. Try to move platform top mobile self contained. I tried answering you via email last week but I guess I need to use forum to answer now. Are you the Bob in South NJ? Your project is fantastic! Keep in touch.!

Very nice Amby! It seems to have good speed with those electric car motors. I really like your battery idea,! If I wouldn’t fly the globe with my InMoov robot, I would go for your solution! Thanks Gael, now I see how it all works. I like how you can detach the drive wheel to push it around manually. See my comments on Sebastiens’s post.
@Bob, to answer your previous questions on Sebastien’s post: The base can carry InMoov easily. You can add at least 10kg and the base can still ride fine as long as the floor is flat. When I use InMoov in the street, the wheels can overcome some holes if it rides full speed. If you look at my video, you can see a battery carrier between the two…En afficher davantage
