The real beginning of my inmoov. Wrist and left hand are completed. Soon the first movements !
hey getting good! Do you have the servos already?
Yes, i have the 5 servos for the left hand and 1 more for the wrist (all have 90° rotation for the moment, i will replace the wrist servo later). The servos bed and the other parts are ready. To complet the left forearm, it still missing robpart 3V3, 2V2, 5V2 and 4V3. And I have begun to work on the firmware. (I have built the starter kit and it…En afficher davantage

Super! are you using the Neo Pixel Ring I use or is it done with color leds? If you use the Neo Pixel Ring, is it hooked to an extra Arduino or is it implemented within the two InMoov Arduinos?
Woo ooo, great idea! now InMoov can be made for domotic purpose.
Hello everybody, my name is bastien, i\’m 26 years old. I\’m apprentice in embedded systems at Montpellier. I have decided to make an Inmoov since 2 month. I want begin by thank Gael for this amazing project ! My first aim is to build the left arm, currently i work on the left hand and the wrist. I will post some pictures soon. See you soon
Welcome to you Bastien. Happy to see another french person building InMoov.

my InMoov little progress
very nice extra features for the Rock Paper Scissors play game. It is interesting how it seems like he really can understand what you are playing. For someone who doesn’t know, it can be very tricky.
Robyn understands me!!! this is no fake!!!! He chose rock scissors paper by random and asks me what i have. Then he understand my voice command and use variables to count the score.
Oh yes I know, I didn’t mean it was a fake. 🙂 I also use the rock paper scissors on my script, and what you have added is really interesting because of the variables counted from your answers. I have modified a bit the movements of that gesture before going to New York, because people had a hard time understanding how to process for the counting…En afficher davantage

It’s starting to look like an Inmoov with a slight modification. I have much more to complete and start the programming. I am enjoying the building. Gae,l is they any time frame on the sale of the PCB yet?
Woo oo, big head ! I talked again with the guys from Seed and we should get it started, but I prefer not to say when because I don’t want to disapoint anyone about timing. It was supposed to be on sale for beginning september…
Did you finally understand how to use the potentiometers outside the servos or are you still struggling with that?
Hi Gael, Yes. I finely got the Potentiometers set correctly. I am finishing the chest prices and still pondering if I want to use the sensors on the fingers. By next weekend I should have movement using scripts.
Thank you for your help, and as always, keep up your excellent work!

Russian Far East News talked about the robot InMoov and Gael Langevin.
Very nice and clean wiring. What type of servos are you using?
Big: CYS model S8218 digital servo from china. Torque 40kg/cm. Small: XQ-S4020D. Torque about 20kg/cm.
Thanks for the link to the article. You do have a nice color mixture on your InMoov.
I have added the link to the article to the News tab
Thank You Gael. I did not even have time to follow the innovations in the project InMoov! I hope we too will make a useful contribution.

Hello,
I noticed the Robcap for left and right are the same. Am I missing something? If I use the left it puts the elbowgear inside the forearm Inmoov, the right is on the outside of the forearm.
Thank you.

Thanks Alexander, looks like I got the elbowgear correct looking at your pictures and web site. I am glad the internet has a translator enabling me to read your web site.

Ehehe, cool pir detection and tracking, I’m wondering how you set your pir script to auto go on face tracking, I can’t even make him say « I was sleeping ». i’ve started the face tracking
ear.addCommand(« search humans », « python », « trackHumans »)
def trackHumans(): i01.headTracking.faceDetect() i01.eyesTracking.faceDetect()
before i gave the command
ear.addCommand(« power down », i01.getName(), « powerDown »)
so when the pir starts robyn the face tracking is already on.

Good progress, I checked your assembly on the pictures, and all seems to be correctly mounted. Many people mount the neck the wrong way
I have a Torso. I am not sure what the 2 large circles are used for does anyone know?
The two large holes were used, during my designing to check if the shoulder was correctly placed when returning after a lift up.

Thanks Alexander. Your Inmoov currently looks like some thing out of Outer Limits. 🙂
Here are some pictures of what I have printed in the past month or so. I am starting to just fit the Torso to see what parts I am missing. The right and left hands are printed. The left shoulder is also printed. I will start putting the hands and biceps together next week once I have all my servos and hardware.

Okay heads up!! Check for the eye mecanism, I have recently updated the linkage between both eyes. The part is called EyeMoverSideV4. It gives you now the opportunity to adjust the angles of both eyes interdependently in x direction.
We have 2 servos for eyes so do we need eyemoversideV4 ?
The process goes…
Interesting color combination. Did you come to the Geek PIcnic? Have we meet?
Hi Gael! It would be nice to meet you, but I live on a very far east of Russia. On the border with China. My students have seen you at a Geek PIcnic in St. Petersburg.
