        I was wondering the same thing at the time the arm fell, but if you watch the video, you will see it did a similar thing when it moved backwards and on the second try, it wouldn’t go as far forward as before.

        After posting the video, I went to investigate, it didn’t take long to find the cause.

    • Profile picture of Gael Langevin
      Gael Langevin replied 11 years, 1 month ago

      What servo did you use for the jaw? I have burned a few of them, MG995, MG946R, MG996R… The torque needed to action the jaw, and the movement repetition cause great stress on the servo. Bob Houston has been using a HS-311 servo since he started his built and says he never had to replace it.
      Might be worth trying.

    Hello Geal,

    Thank you for checking the torso, I am working on the right arm and shoulder and will have more pictures my tomorrow night.

    I’m wondering if you could make me an STL of the Neck but 1 1/2 inches shorter on the neck part, so it is not so long. I would like to use my animatronics head. But right now the neck is too long and my head…[Read more]

        i’ve started the face tracking

        ear.addCommand(“search humans”, “python”, “trackHumans”)

        def trackHumans():
        i01.headTracking.faceDetect()
        i01.eyesTracking.faceDetect()

        before i gave the command

        ear.addCommand(“power down”, i01.getName(), “powerDown”)

        so when the pir starts robyn the face tracking is already on.

      In this experiment, I used the Jhack’s approach for implementing feelings. However, the using of springs and 90 degrees servos reduced range of fingers motion. Then I used the blocks to increase the stroke finger tendons.

    well the day was fun and successful, the kids loved InMoov and had lots of question and i ended up demonstrating him to about 100 kids.

      Fantastic, a hundred kids! Think of it, the first 3D printed robot these kids have ever seen, and you were the one to show them. Congratulations.

      Aaah, I had been wanting to do that for a long time! Because the cables sometimes get stucked and if they run in the rotation center it is more logic and simple. I have added your Thingy to the Derivatives collection in Download tab.

      Very good! I think, from what I can see, it was huge for a mini MakerFaire, It seems like there things to see everywhere. From what I have read on the net it was a great success.

    hi, all
    just got back home from the sydney mini maker faire, i took this video just before packing up.

      Wow! Great job! The glowing light on the chest is cool, and I like the fact you amplified it’s voice for people to hear what he says. During my shows, I always have a headphone and nobody knows how InMoov talks. Have you been able to do voice commands also? I can see someone on the left corner with the InMoov T-shirt 🙂

      Very nice! Do you plan to print the other arm? When I run my InMoov with only one arm attached to the torso, I find it very unbalanced. The pressure applied on the whole structure is more heavy, it’s logic. Have you been able to use voice commands with MyRobotLab?

    • Profile picture of Markus
      Markus replied 12 years ago

      Yes i have just start printing the other arm..At the moment i am using a SSC-32 servo controller so i have not tried ardoino or my robbotlab. I am going to download and test it later.I have bin learning a little bit of pic processors and programming them . I have made simple circuit boards in other projects.

      Markus replied 12 years ago

      but i have never used ardoino before so i am excited to learn more.about it.

    OK, here’s those pictures of my Inmoov arm. A month ago I didn’t know anything about an Arduino and not much about servos, thanks to Gael and others for there help. The arm is running off an Arduino sketch I modified from one Gael posted. When I can figure out how to post a Quick Time Movie (any help appreciated) I…[Read more]

      Nice work! Is the coqated steel nylon doing a good job, doesn’t it strech? I ave never used that but it seems interesting.

      Oh I see you have mounted the the hand on the wrong side of the wrist. Nothing bad technicaly, it is only for the eyes, I then feel like the hand isn’t correctly aligned with the forarm.

    Here’s a few pictures of my Inmoov Project so far. I have the right arm and Bicep built and operating. I used 20 Lb nylon coated steel leader line to operate the fingers. I found that feeding the line in from the finger tips worked good, I also connected the 2 lines at the tips of the fingers.
