Awesome piece of work Walter. How long did it take you to get to this stage?

    • Thanks Cole. I started a year ago. I did two. My first was a prop with no motors or electronics and low quality prints as I was learning a lot. Went thru several 3D printers too. The second one has the electronics and the quality is much better. I made lots of mistakes along the way, but learned a ton of things. I am starting to think about…[Read more]

Hi Lorn, that’s a brilliant idea. I’ve not seen Zoom before. It look a bit like face time.
I’ll join up and perhaps we can do a test run together.

Lorn, that’s brilliant. How long have you been working on your Inmoov? I’m using EZ to co troll mine but I’m not as far ahead as you. Where are you in the UK?
    Steve

    • Hi Steve, thanks
Been building my InMoov since about last August when I bought my Wanhoa printer. Started using EZB about January time. I can send you my files if you want as I found that looking at existing setups answered so many questions. Also chat to Bob Houston on the forums as hes made his files available. They really give an insite to…[Read more]

    • Hi Steve
I was thinking about your ideas on a robot meet. One idea might be to have meet-up using video conferencing. I use “zoom meeting” at work regularly and its free. We could set up a time/date that suits people is the US also maybe. Its really simple and you can use your mobile phone/laptop/pc etc to participate. We could keep it…[Read more]

Wow .. that’s going to one powerful motor

  • Been working on the head. I’ve heavily modified it fixing the lower jaw.
I have then split it into a front shell and a back shell. The two fix together with magnets. The back is fixed to the rear bracket . The eyes are fixed into the front. I’m going to put lights in the slot for the mouth which will light up when he speaks ( no idea how that will…[Read more]

Hi Steve, I posted up on the google forum about this early this week. There are loads of Inmoov builders across the world but we don’t know each other. The original Inmoov map now does not work and I digested we have a page that we all put our location on with perhaps an email address. With that we could make contact with each other and get a…[Read more]

Hi Rolf, I am very impressed with the fun move hand. It looks excellent. I’m going to build one as well. I have ordered flexible pla for the joints. Am I correct in assuming you only run five strings to the servos to close the fingers and you don’t need the other five strings to open them as well?
Can you tell us more of what you have done with…[Read more]

Wrist rotation is fine, the tubes are ptfe tubing, this is the same tube used in my hot end on my 3 d printer, they seem to be working well

  • First arm now on a base and EZB waiting to be connected

Thanks Martin, I seem to have missed the obvious .

  • Clearance problems with the rob rings hitting the outer casing

It might be good to get a group of us together in the uk to meet up and discuss progress and show off what we all have achieved

    • Yes I’m up for that. I’d like to get a little bit further first, but it would probably drive me to make more progress. How can we contact other builders?

  • Painted most parts of the arm and fingers so I’ve started assembly. Watched over by my R2 D2 I built a few years ago

  • Hi folks, I printed all parts for my left arm in grey now regret not printing them in white. We use grey mostly in our studio as for some reason it seems to print better. We are printing in pla. So I’ve bonded parts together and am sanding a filling prior to etch prime and paint them shiny white. I have all my servos and a roll of that special…[Read more]

    • I’m in Norfolk, UK. I started my InMoov at the beginning of the year. I have complete the eyes/face and am now working on the rest of the head. I’m hoping to complete the head by the end of March, but it’s taking me longer than expected.
