Make sure you take pic’s with your phone when you’re take a part the gears look almost the same. But other them that it’s easy.

A little more the pot are almost the same size as the original you probably need to to file a little bit but is not a big deal. Round pot.

I’m using CYS8503 digital servos’ of course you have to hack the same way as the other ones. Is easy to get the pot out and removed the stop on the gear to convert form 90 degree to continuous 360 degree plus the price is 16 dls each. They are 30 kg and 90 degree . Aliexpress the app for android phones. They’re really strong and quick response.…[Read more]

Anyone have a list of the various stl part weights? Both abs and pla would be nice.

    • How would this be possible to answer… I mean since it would depend on infill % of each part… You really need to ask it this way… at say 50% infill, how much does “x” part way in PLA in ABS

      • Infill won’t be enough, what is your nozzle size and how many outline/perimeter shells do you intend to use? I assume it will be hard to find somebody who has all the parts separated or kept track of filament usage.
Another issue is failing parts. As most of the parts are individual you might need several attempts to print them successfully. And…[Read more]

        • Your slicer should tell you the amount of filament used and you can get the part weight for from that. You will have to do the work though. That way you will have exact weight for your print settings

  • Why do not you distribute several robot model for fun?

    • When a user needs help, it helps if there is only one type of robot to support.
That way there is no confusion and a lot of people can help you.

Once you start to go down a different design path, there is not as much help so you have to learn more yourself.
This not discouraged, but in the beginning, it is advised you stick to the standard list of parts.

  • 2 out of 3 Raspberry Pi 3’s installed in the head.

    • That’s alot of pi! Is fitting a third in there possible? Looks great though, very clean setup in that limited space.

      • It is possible to fit the third one and then i still have to work out how I want to split the processing load across them.
As Gael said somewhere on this site, the RPi even the Model 3 still is not quite powerful enough, but they are cheap enough to add multiple so speed up processing, paralleled processing if you will…

        • You could put one PI in the body to connect to the Kinect or just give him a gut feeling. Nice HAT on the PI.

          • The HAT on the PI is the Adafruit 16 Channel servo driver. Also breaks out the Pi Header and is where I grabbed the 5V from to run the other Pi.
