Gael,

Would you provide me the details on what kind of flat cables to buy and what type red/black wire to purchase.

For flat ribbons, I need to know the width and number of strands and length of cables.

For wire, I need to know what gauge wire to use for electric hookup.

I want to make sure I purchase the correct thing.

    Hello,
    You need some 14 wire ribbon for the connectors.
    What I personnaly do, is buy some 30 wire ribbon and split it manually. It’s cheaper and easier to find on internet.
    10 gauge automotive(black,red) will fit tightly in the XT60 connectors.
    You can get some 12 gauge and will be fine for fitting as well.

I copied every STL file I could to start printing but before I could change from STL to G-CODE and print them my 64 bit computer died.
If I can find a place that has already converted the InMoov tiles to G-CODE I could still print.

  Hello,
  That is not a happy story. Dead PC…
  G-CODE is related to each printer settings.
  The slicer will generate a G-CODE according to a specific printer model size, I doubt getting someone else G-CODE, will work properly on your printer.
  Unless you remove the specifications in it prior printing..

A few questions:

1) Do I need to purchase SHEILDS for the Nano, Uno, or the Mega for this installation? I did not see the them listed in BOM.

2) It appears that the only board that has WI-FI is the Uno Wi-Fi. In checking the Mega, it does not appear to have Wi-Fi capabilities. At this point, I have purchased 2 MEGA, 2 UNO, 2 NANO, 2 UNO…En afficher davantage

  1- If you’re questionning about the dedicated Nano for the NeoPixel ring, I do not add a shield, I just route the wires and solder them to the board. If you want you can make a connection wire for to disasemble.

      The Mega Arduino use the Nervo Board as a shield.
      I tried various headset with noise cancellation, another interesting fact I noticed, is that microphone noise cancellation removes the beginning and the end of the sentence.
      This is okay if you say for example:
      « How do you do today », the « Ho » and « ay » will be removed.

    This one has a better fitting, tried the official one first but the potentiometer pin is not centered in a nice way. With the new design it’s perfect.. If you like, you can add the design to your inMoov collection 😉

  Hi Marcia, the PIR to identify if someone is in front of your InMoov, but PIRs canhave different ranges up to 12 meters, depends on your choice if use.
  Same with Kinect or Orbbec Astra (I think I will go with an Orbbec product)
  On NeoPixel it is the ring but be careful on what size to get.

    Hello,
    You only need to purchase some static foam for the current pressure sensors. Static foam
    
    MyRobotLab Manticore version is not implemented with configuration file to make usage of the finger sensors. You will need to add your own python codes in the Custom.py file.

      I used some 0.20mm copper.
      But the thickness of the copper doesn’t impact on the sensor itself.

I am trying to work through the BOM list. Can anyone give a detailed list of « Miscellaneous bolts » that might be required? Also clay anyone provide more detail about flat cables and wire?   Hi Marcia, I started with M3 and M4 hex bolts and nuts, then when the need arose I got other ones, M2 for eyes I think. You end up with a nice collection of various lengths.
  I think the flat cable is just 14 strand with one side marked red.

I\’m building the bicep and should have the first of two videos on youtube soon. I only seem to have about 45degrees of movement in the elbow. Does that sound right I thought it would be closer to 90.

    Thank you very much. I realized today that the printer bed size is 12x12x12cm, when I thought it was inches. That makes a huge difference in printer size needed. Give me a different perspective.

Hello World, Today is a good day 100% of the head printed and overall 30% of “Jeeves” InMoov is printed. Dry assembly and insertion of Microsoft LifeCam Studio V2 in right eye. Next week starts the challenge of soldering the NervoBoards and assembly while continuing printing the rest of the body.

      I made my own program in Python for control all servos, I can do any movement and save it, then call any with one word

      interesting! it reminds me the first version I was using of MyRobotLab, all via python.
      The training you do is also possible with MRL via the chatbot, somebody in Brazil was doing something similar which might interest you.

Finally a small step forward.
Too bad it doesn’t fit together, guess I need to calibrate it again. Do I need to polish it using sand paper or anything after the printing?

  For the rectangular hole I sanded a tiny bit on the bits that fit in. For the rest I only took off bits that should not be there, it was a (very) tight fit.

    Still trying on different calibration, and it still doesn’t fit. I’m using PLA and the calibrator like always exceeding less than 1mm? Not really sure about that. Is the wall thickness that affect the printing exceeding the original scale?

      Hi Chuah Wei Jie, I am only printing in ABS-X, sorry my 3D printing knowledge and experience is insufficient to be able to help. Maybe someone else with more experience can help.

      My first parts were printed at .24 and didn’t fit so well. I then printed at .15 and they all fit together nicely. Also looked a lot better as finished product.

  Mark is right, the lower the layer height the better. I was able to fit stuff together with .3 layers until I got to the worm gears and piston shafts. needed to go all the way to .12 to get those to operate smoothly. always had my infill on 15% for most parts, the « load bearing » parts or parts I thought would be stressed I went up to 30% infill.…En afficher davantage

  Some things I found that help; as noted the higher quality layer height the better the fit, try your finest settings (say .1) and see where you are, then increase until they don’t fit. Use PLA+ if your going to use PLA. Amazons is cheap and works great. (Premium PLA) Print just the way the file is loaded, do not re-arrange the parts. Keep trying,…En afficher davantage

Serait-il possible d\’avoir une photo du filage de l\’électro , le positionnement des cartes de face de coté et derriere Inmoov , cela aiderait beaucoup pour l\’aménagement des composantes.
En passant j\’ai presque terminé de monter Inmoov , je passerai sous peut au fillage et branchement.

Morning builders ! The printing process is finally get to start. I\’m using Anet A8 3D Printing. I wonder is there any suggested Start and End G-Code for such machine for a better result of printing? I\’m using Cura.

  Great news! good luck Chuah Wei Jie! it is a great journey you are embarking upon. Unfortunately I do not know enough on Anet A8 to help you. But Cura works well for me.

      Hi Chuah Wei Jie, I have loaded the setting I am using in CURA for my ABS-X, different but they more or less work for me. With each printer and each print material they will be different. big difference I chose to print in 0.1
