I have a few of those servos fitted to my Inmoov robot Fred, that work a lot better than the MG966R
You will have no regrets there

Roughly 70 hours into the left bicep. All that’s left are the covers. By chance, does anyone know what bolt is used to connect the bicep servo holder to the rob part 4? I don’t see it mentioned anywhere in the build instructions.

My build is continuing.
I have completed the hand/forearm and have ordered the servos. Printing overnight every night now to have the parts ready for the servos when they arrive.
Having fun as this is the greatest project I’ve ever done.

Just a quick throw together while waiting for the camera. What size screws do you use to screw the eyes to the mounts? They seem very small but long.

Hi, I started this project recently and have been ordering parts as I go. I have ordered a camera for the eyes, but only 1 was available. You say it has 2 cameras, but only 1 works in windows. My question is, do you require 2 cameras for tracking or any function at this stage? or is 1 OK?

You only need one camera.

A lot depends on how powerful your computer is, some people have used two computers, one for the object/facial recognition while the other is used for object tracking and the rest of the Inmoov.
For a beginner in the system you can get away with just the one.

Hi, i am from Germany near Stuttgart. I started with the robot in 2015 and I worked on it when i had some free time. After about 2 years i finally finished my inmoov. I posted some pictures of the current result in my album. It was a really fun project and the result is great. Thanks to Gael for his wonderful work.

I have got as far as printing everything in the torso section as seen in the pictures. I had wanted to have this standing on my desk with the head attached but it is obviously going to be top heavy. Prior to joining this site, I printed a complete right hand from PLA as a sort of prototype for experimentation. I used 1.75mm filament for finger joints and super glue for finger pieces. The parts were all printed at .2mm resolution with the recommended printer settings.

Well, PETG is out. After using it for the hand cover, I cannot get it to stick for the life of me for the finger covers. I’ve tried the default layout, upside, standing, and sideways, all with and without supports, rafts, etc. I only chose it over ABS because that’s what I had in orange. Looks like I’ll be ordering orange ABS.

Just wanted to give a update to my build: I haven\’t started building yet. I\’m just planning right now (boring stuff :D). I came to the conclusion, that I want to make my own PCB specifically for this robot just to fit it my needs better! I hope, that I can share more information soon!
