@admin Hi Gael, I was watching the stomach video and you mention the mid stomach need a way to reverser the polarity the following product allow that.

    • That won’t work for this application for a few reasons… First and foremost no two servos accurately position the same… And if they don’t they tend “fight” each other… A second reason is you would have to solder the pot to both circuit boards… again, won’t work… see reason 1… The simplest and only way is to follow the tutorial Gael wrote….

    • OK, I’ll bite. What is it?

      • ? a brand new dual extrusion head with coolers for the object and the extruders? Cooling the upper part of the extruder can prevent clogging – good. Enjoy the pic – once you start printing it won’t look as good as now!
for ooze free multiple extrusion in a single object have a look at this

        • It’s a dual extruder upgrade for the Vertex K8400 3D printer from Velleman. I can easily identify it, since I have the same printer for almost 2 years now. It works very well for PLA printing. It makes it possible to print different colors, but more importand, different materials. I tried it about a year ago, but at that time I have print quality…[Read more]

      “Q&A”
what is your user level with 3d printing? – beginner/ novice…?
Have you been print ABS before- ? — what brand of ABS ?—(cheap stuff/ Good stuff)
Printer type/ or nozzle type-,, ?
Are you using an auto calibrate-?
Is your printing bed using– glass / tape/ bare aluminium,,?
      In theory you shoul…[Read more]

    • I’m between begginer and novice with printing
I have make prints with ABS before butt that where small prints
I used a velleman Vertex k8400 with heatbed its reach 90 degrees
The print must be manual calbrate
I try glass plate with kapton tape / gleu stick/3dlac/bleu tape and i have now a aluminium with pei

      • Ok,, Abs is difficult to print with,, very clean glass works well I need to print with abs (which is not very often)- make sure the fans are of turned “off” The K8400 look like they’re using a “peek” style of hotend so you don’t need them ,, unlike the ED3V6,,,– slow the print speed down – 30mm/sec for perimeters and 60mm/sec for infill- ,, Th…[Read more]

    • Oké i see this on thingiverse http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1196270 do you think this will help.

      • Nooooo,,,, that’s for PLA,,, You want to do opposite—Is this the extruder system on your printer,,? (see pic ) nice looking system but really designed for ABS
What software are you using,,, Slicer/Cura/ etc.,,, what you want to do is to slow the fan speed down as much as possible ,, is that small fan on a hinge so can move,,? ,,(it’s the one causi…[Read more]

    • To successfully print with ABS (which is all I print with btw) you really need a printer that can do it… I have an UP Box and an UP Mini 2… both print abs flawlessly… Since you probably won’t be buying a new printer here are some tips that hopefully will help… A good print surface to use with ABS is Buildtak … it really sticks well to…[Read more]

      • I’ve never heard a bad thing said about “Build Tanks”,,,,
I got to get back to the grind,,, the only thing I can think off without doing mod work on your printer is un-bolt the small fan and turn it around so its blowing up instead of down onto your print,,, and slow the fan speed down ,, (the flaw with design is they set both fan to the one s…[Read more]

    • Yes the extruder on the picture is the one
If i shut off the smal fan when i print abs wil that help its not gone warp
The small one i only need when i print with pla.

      • have you tried to print a skirt with 6 to 10 outlines, 2 layers high with very small distance from object (like 0.3 mm for a 0.4 mm nozzle)
you will need to tear or cut off the skirt but it prevented almost all warping on my prints

    • Oké i wil try al off the tips and i hope it work for me i Let know when it will work for me.

    Robyn Inmoov packing for India

  • Hello everybody, and a very happy New Year 2017.
A new Inmoov robot clone has “been born” the last day of 2016 (I mean torso, top stomach, head and right arm have been put together for the first time, but there is yet a lot to do). We call it Quixote Inmoov as he has been built in La Mancha, the region of Spain where Don Quixote lived the…[Read more]

Inmoov Original version V1- for SketchUp has just been uploaded- I added the all Potentoimeter (see pic) Not the best looking Potentoimeter but clearly shows where they all go,,,and I added few of the main bolts Which are just Shaft with hex/Socket Heads- so I’ve managed to keep him Low-Res as possible- ,,this will be last update on Inmoov u…[Read more]

    • Mindless, I have downloaded your 3D InMoov Man – nice work. Should I be able to move parts around so I can see the internal parts? The drawing loads as a “Read only” file in SketchUp. Or is the drawing just that, a drawing of the assembled parts?

      • Left-click a part (to highlight it in blue), then right-click and choose Hide.

      • It a complete 3d model,,, so you hide parts to see inside him- or you make changes to parts then export that part as STL (Need Plugin) and print them out-,,, if your new to 3d modelling it will take a bit of time how to work stuff out,,,- but SketchUp is one of the easiest of the 3d modelling platform-
The “load as read only” message means its dou…[Read more]

        • Sorry about that,,,,,now where was I,,,
But you cannot work on the same file in two different widows —,, think of it as a “Master and Slave” set up,, the first time you open Inmoov man is the Master and if you open it again without closing that Inmoov the others will be loaded as slaves (read only),,,, and you cannot modify the slave ver…[Read more]

          • I’ve just downloaded your 3D model… WAHOU !!!
Excellent job, it’s very fun to see the bot in 3D.
Very convenient for mounting and color test.
            Thanks a lot for sharing
