What are the mods you had to do to fit in the turnigy 1270HV 40kg?
Some builders have a hard time to gather the Hitec 805bb, if the mods are minor, I could add this servo in the alternative servo list.

This looks great and seems to run really well. I’ve become concerned about the application of servos this way. Have any had the drive shaft get pulled out of the servo in these linear actuator applications? What about the place where the little screw holds the servo horn onto the splined shaft, any failed there?

          • Illustration du profil de Gael Langevin
Gael Langevin replied il y a 10 ans et 1 mois

@Reece, mine has been running for nearly three years now and the servos are still doing fine.
The only thing that happens sometimes, the small screw that holds the horn wheel to the servo shaft gets loose, I bet using some blue Loctite component would solve the problem, but I never bought some to test.

Hi bob – thanks. you can actually make Inmoov look very good with a bit more thought and patience on the finishing and build. its a great cosmetically pleasing robot.basically the idea behind it was to have a more portable one. so i can transport it and play around with the programming – plug in the power and sit it on coffee table or any room i…En afficher davantage

      Super!
La propaganda InMoov!! It’s actually my picture recolored? Are you planning to make your InMoov with this color scheme? That will be interesting, it will be the brother of wkinne InMoov.

      InMoov in China!!!
InMoov did it’s first Makerfaire in China in 2012. At the time it was only the prosthetic hand, not a full robot, and got awarded.
Be carefull with those fireworks, your robot might get deaf from the blast!

Our InMoov (named Andy) is starting to come together! Andy will be part of our display on 3D printed robots at my university’s Engineering Open House come this spring.

      Cool!!
Is Andy connected or not yet? It seems on the picture that the cables are still running loose.

The connections in the picture weren’t yet hooked up since we had just finished the left-arm. Our power supply (5v (variable to 5.5v), 40A) just came in a few days ago. I’m waiting on a few more pieces and then everything will be wired up. We have tested servos individually, but soon we will be able to test it all together!

          Very good!
5V power supply will be secure for your tests. Though I suggest, to increase speed gestures, it is better to use a 6V power supply.
          It makes a difference!

Thanks for the info! After some testing, the power supply I have (MeanWell LRS 200-5) allows for up to 5.8v, 38A capacity. I’m doing some testing this weekend and report back if it works well.

We got even further on the robot arm project. We built a wooden base, painted it, attached the robot arm, and now we've finally begun the meat of the arm project: modeling and movement! So far, we have one degree of freedom being modeled to a pretty accurate sense! You can see the arm following dans arm pretty nicely, which we honestly did not expect; the results are really good.Looking forward to having full arm modeling done soon! Hopefully this arm can actually do things :p!

We have successfully controlled the InMoov Robot Arm after taping a single Accel/Gyro IMU onto Daniels upper shoulder (IMU: http://www.ebay.com/itm/191698446532). This was the first time we tested it and we were very surprised at how well it tracked the movement,…En afficher davantage

Alessandro has done a lot of test with IMU sensors with his InMoov through MyRobotLab. You could check his various codes on Github.
