I started building my InMoov in early December. I pretty much have everything together except the pistons. I had a lot of problems with the PLA printing I did and often had to sand or adjust parts. The pistons are the last piece of the puzzle. I think I’m going to try them in ABS.

Jason, I saw you at the show and I was inspired to start making my own InMoov. It is nice to see your comment here. I want to get the arms on. I have had issues with bicep pistons threading, so hoping to get those working smoothly, might switch to ABS for them.

Hello lilly, it was a very cheap microsoft webcam. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Insten-USB-16.0-Mega-Pixel-Webcam-Camera-With-Microphone-Mic-For-PC-Latptop-Skype-MSN/43627769 But remember it is not HD, so if you plan to use Opencv in MyrobotLab, it will have a bit difficulty to do a correct face tracking. I recommend getting the Hercules HD Twist.

where i can get the back side of inmoov? now it only have battary box there but i saw some video, there have back cover fix it

That’s correct, the back parts aren’t released yet. I’m currently working on the legs which is taking a lot of my spare time.

A Desktop InMoov. going good so far. spent time on the finish and added a few BlinkM`s for bling. running off a windows 7 tablet

Does the mesh connecting the clavicles near the neck get in the way of the shoulder pistons?
No. as he is not having arms fitted, just head and sensors. he’s as big as he’s going to get!. I have another complete inmoov

printed the parts @100 microns then sealed the parts with Acetone vapor. then sanded several times, they sprayed with filler/primer then glossed. very similar to how rentaprinta finished his Inmoov

InMoov in China!!! InMoov did it’s first Makerfaire in China in 2012. At the time it was only the prosthetic hand, not a full robot, and got awarded. Be carefull with those fireworks, your robot might get deaf from the blast!

Our InMoov (named Andy) is starting to come together! Andy will be part of our display on 3D printed robots at my university’s Engineering Open House come this spring.
Cool!! Is Andy connected or not yet? It seems on the picture that the cables are still running loose.
The connections in the picture weren’t yet hooked up since we had just finished the left-arm. Our power supply (5v (variable to 5.5v), 40A) just came in a few days ago. I’m waiting on a few more pieces and then everything will be wired up. We have tested servos individually, but soon we will be able to test it all together!
Very good! 5V power supply will be secure for your tests. Though I suggest, to increase speed gestures, it is better to use a 6V power supply. It makes a difference!
Thanks for the info! After some testing, the power supply I have (MeanWell LRS 200-5) allows for up to 5.8v, 38A capacity. I’m doing some testing this weekend and report back if it works well.

We built a wooden base, painted it, attached the robot arm, and now we've finally begun the meat of the arm project: modeling and movement!So far, we have one degree of freedom being modeled to a pretty accurate sense! You can see the arm following dans arm pretty nicely, which we honestly did not expect; the results are really good.Looking forward to having full arm modeling done soon! Very good! Nice little video, I like the excitement about your project. It is very promising. Alessandro has done a lot of test with IMU sensors with his InMoov through MyRobotLab. You could check his various codes on Github.

Hi, I wonder if you can help me. I have printed out ClavifrontV2 and Claviback v2 and SternumV1. They don’t appear to fit together. I noticed there is no Sternum V2 for either front or back. Removable Forearm
When I started to wire my InMoov there heavent’t been Nervo Bords available so I did set up cabling with the method Mats showed on one of his posts – using Mini-Display cables and terminater boards. Hi Juerg, the route that Markus took with these connectors was very impressive. Marten, Leon and I had already been working on the Nervo Board and had started the first batchs when I saw his connections, other wise we might have proposed something similar.

I guess that you have the same problem as Humanoid a little bit down on this page. Windows doesn’t have any program to open .stl print files, so when you doubleclick on the file, windows will start the wrong program. Start the program you want to use, and open the file from there.

Hi, Does anyone know how to open the STL files in Windows 7? I keep getting a \’Certificate Trust List\’ error when I try to open the downloaded file? Does anyone know what this means?
This answer is in the Forum: You are using a Windows computer and the default file extension for STL is « Certification Trust List ». It’s a Windows thing. If you click directly on an STL file, you will get this message. You need to right click on an STL file and change the file association to whatever program you are using to view your STL…En afficher davantage

Your 3D printer software will be able to read the STL files and convert them to a format that the 3D printer can use (g-code). But if you want to change them, the you need a 3D modeling software.
