Hello all, At the end of this month (June 2022), I will proudly participate in the monthly Engineers Teams meeting at my job to explain and show the inMoov project and how I start this adventure. The aim is to teach them that we can do great things by combining Open source projects, Mechatronic solutions, Arduino platforms and Team work. […] View

I sincerely appreciate your prompt response, which will undoubtedly be very helpful. However, I was unable to locate the jaw and neck designs, even though they appear to be included in the image you provided. I would like to confirm whether those parts were designed at the same scale as the others.

      Hi.
Yes, you need an additional power supply for the servos. I suppose the current would fry your arduino.
I reused a 5V power adapter. I soldered a XT60 male adapter to the nervo board and a XT60 female adapter to the cable of the power.adapter: This way I am able to take away the current if my servos develop a life of their own.
      Greetings

USB power for the most part is limited to 2A under the USB2.0 standard.
The average servo will draw between 2 and 3 Amps each.
You will defiantly need a bigger source of power.
      I suggest a 6V power supply.
If your planning on using it to power the whole of the Inmoov robot, then a 50 Amp power supply is recommended.
There are other ways of…[Read more]

You know, you could put a Thermal image sensor in that spot.
So if you have the cameras in the eyes or a kinect installed, Just another option to have 🙂
      I like it.

I moved the camera because I built a small InMoov.
There is no place to put the camera in the eyes or to put a kinet. But your idea is interesting.
        Thank you

Thanks for the link, but I’m using a pc with windows 10.
I had tried with a LATTEPANDA but there is not enough power for facial recognition.
Have you successfully used myrobtlab mandricore with a Raspberry?

I have in the past to a point.
              I have a non-standard build.
I used PCA9685 servo drivers in the head, arms and body and these are supported in the Inmoov service but they are in MRL.
So I have had them running, just not well 🙂
I am currently rebuilding the head for my Inmoov again with a Raspberry Pi 3, but also have an AI HAT to add to it for…[Read more]

Petit INMOOV échelle 0.64 sur plateau motorisé .
    poids 5,3 KG

Hello World, Today is a good day 100% of the head printed and overall 30% of “Jeeves” InMoov is printed. Dry assembly and insertion of Microsoft LifeCam Studio V2 in right eye. Next week starts the challenge of soldering the NervoBoards and assembly while continuing printing the rest of the body.
    Have a great weekend everyone!

    • Profile picture of Gael Langevin
Gael Langevin replied 6 years, 6 months ago

      Hello,
      1-Editez C:/myrobotlab/myrobotlab.1.2693.9/InMoov/config/service_D_OpenCV.config
      2-…[Read more]

    Dear InMoov world,

A quick update from a chilly Jeeves InMoov, the last snows are melting at my workshop in France.

Like many, my InMoov journey has been a bit stop start, but now both printers are printing as fast as they can so that I can say “Hello world” as soon as possible.

Wherever you are in the world have a good day, a great weekend and…[Read more]

      🙂
Well, there was a long list of members waiting for approval. Checking them all today made the number of members increase in a short delay.
New members to be approved must have a InMoov picture for their profile picture. (can be anything as long as it’s an InMoov part).
It will save me time when approving members.
Thanks and welcome to all new members!!

Has anyone integrated “Microsoft LifeCam Studio V2” web cam into the eyes?

Yes, it requires some mods, but it works well. Microphone is not very responsive inside the head, the the video is good.

Hi Doc Johnson, that is great news, many thanks.
I have found a couple of sites where they show you how to strip down the camera to remove the case etc. do you have any guidance on the mods that would be required? or even (pushing my luck) some pictures?

You have great timing; I was just getting ready to install my EZB Camera in the other eye, so I had the assy apart. I took some photos; keep in mind, I just did this as a quick and easy setup; if you think about it, you can do a much cleaner job than I did. Photos are in my album area
