i do a short video first test how work my leg but is not finich again it is a prototype again
Very nice! I see that you are becoming a 3d printer master after being the king of cartboard. I’m guessing what we see is for the knee rotation, correct? Did you finally use the motors of the drills you bought or is it with a servo.
yes you are true gael it is for knee yes i am always the king of cardboard lol i do all my tests with cardboard and when it is good i do on abs i use a drill motor for castorama 11 euros motor batterie charger ans very strong

Stomach in progress this week, ouch the most difficult is to paint the finger in black 🙂
Cool after working on the website , a bit of fun 3D printing! was there the script in my database for the NeoPixel ring, I can’t remember if I have uploaded it on the site? If not let me know and I will.
Hi Gaël, yes my 3d printer feel a bit alone these last weeks :-). I restart printing for finish InMoov asap I use the arduino script you post here
NeoPixel ring : arduino code for stomach
, it works perfecly. thanks (Just need to install the adafruit library) I don’t check if MyRobotLab already have added the NeoPixelRing service ?
Good! Well, no the NeoPixel Ring is not yet implemented in MRL. It actually means, it needs to run on a seperate Arduino dedicated only for that function.
hello what is the model for the stomach NeoPixel Ring it’s 12, 16 or 24 led?
Martin, It’s the 16 led ring ref. Adafruit Flora Neopixel Ring 1463 http://www.adafruit.com/product/1463

Some time ago I was in Poitiers, invited for the Gamers Assembly by Quai-Lab. I met some young fellows that wanted to build legs for InMoov following good dimensions and my 3d view concept. Here is what they have achieved so far, they started to print them as…[Read more]

We certainly want more pictures!! Great sytem for stand alone as well. The legs seem a bit small in proportion, but it looks darn good altogether!! I bet the crowd appreciated.
Thanks Gael. legs will be longer. More photo after Geek Picnic in Moscow. My robot will be read Dostoyevsky on this show. I hope that everything will be fine.

Hand Update and Head Update with eyes
Very good job on the hands and head! You got a very good finish for the hands as well. Will you spray the head or keep it with the Primer spray? Super!
Hello Gael,
late i will spray on the head normal varnish for the end clear varnish – like my hands.
Part 2
Hand 95 % finsih >
hello do you use acetone?and what is the material grey in end fingers? thank you amby
Hello Amby,
no i printed in 100% PLA so Acetone not helps me. I use “superglue” or “one-second glue” to fix the parts. But for the Hands i don´t need it because the finger part give in one part:
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:753941
And the end of the Finger are Gaels Finger tips / tops in Silicon
http://www.inmoov.fr/silicone-finger-tip-mold/ or http://www.wevolver.com/gael.langevin/inmoov-robot/finger-tip-cover
I hope i could help you!!!
Boris / RentaPrina
hello boris thank you for answer me i find your print so nice have you do a tutorial for explaine how you do i am very surprising your hand is like actetone how you do? thank you amby
like i said i printed in 100% PLA and then i polish the printed part. I will make a Tutorial how to print and polish PLA and how to use “superglue” and “primmer-spray”.
Boris
Very nice job on the surface finish of your PLA. A tutorial for other builders on the process to polish the PLA would certainly help. I’m guessing you do a primer spray with a paint finish, no?
RentaPrinta posted an update 9 years, 8 months ago
Hey very clean work!! What did you spray on it? Polyester car filer? I see, you did close the holes around the mouth. Nice job and keep us posted!!
I use white prime for all material.
I can tell you what work it was:
1. I printed some parts together – like you know 2. i use “one-second glue” to put the parts together (that i will get one part) 3. i use gast ( german “gips”) – then i drag the head 4. i spray with primer. 5. again drag the head 6. from 3. to 5. i think 10 times.
So after 2…[Read more]
PS: I forgot one important info:
I printed all parts in PLA in 100% with a Ultimaker 2 in 0.1 layer thickness with 50 mm/s . So i one way it take a while, but on the other hand i have the possibilty to polish/drag/grind the part or cut small pieces away.
Inmoov Head before get a color shower 😉

Here is Bob’s base for his InMoov. Nice and clean job, we can’t wait to see it moving around a little further.
Here is another use of InMoov in Russia, University Kharkov Ukraine. http://goodnewsagency.blogspot.fr/2015/03/robot.html
I created a tutorial for the Nervo board available on the shop, using some of Martens pictures, to help you during your assembly.

design
Interesting design. Do you think the robot will be able to walk? I think it is still possible to attach a tail for stability.
Wooo iii nice posts all together and great job with the screen and legs! I think there is going to be interest with the legs you made. Are you going to share the files as Open Source for others to download? If you do, let me know I wlll add the link in the InMoov derivatives.
New bumper
Nice work, Alex! Could it walk?
Until only bend and rotate. Пока только сгибаются и вращаются.
hello alex nice your legs? have you do a blog with your pictures or video thank you amby
Very nice! Where did you get the lower stomach and legs?

Hello Alex! Really nice you Legs! Slowly the InMoov become a complete Body. Do you think in the future you will have STL Files from your Legs?
And this Screen? Is this the “Under Test Touchscreen” or you invent this. What is the screen for?
Big Greetinxx from Boris from BERLIN
I am interested in the chest piece with the 7 inch screen. I have would like to do something very similar. Can you tell me where you found the STL or if you designed it?
It is my design. I can draw bumper for you, if i will be know size of your tablet in millimeters. I use screen for demonstration of photo and video.
Hey cool picture on the screen, Ahaha!
Hi Alex, would you mind sharing the lower Stomach/Hips? does the Hip bend forward? This would be great for what I am setting up for inmoov to travel. Thank you.

For the fun, what if we print a big hexapod for InMoov
Inmoov looks like something from Outer Limits.
Many will need to print, but the robot will go 🙂
Sooner or later, someone will make…
yeah that is likely possible!
Gael, what about anthropomorphic legs? What if to attach the tail with the wheels to the back the of the robot. The tail will confer resistance. The wheels can spin in one direction only.

Ah yes I had seen your post, but I couldn’t find in which topic it was posted. It is a good idea of course, as a temporary feature. I was thinking of using an assisting walker for the beginning. And then when we figure a better way for the robot to walk, we could remove it. And let him fall.…[Read more]

To Fred and others: https://groups.google.com/group/inmoov/attach/151d3d256a4108f0/spring%20tensioner1.jpg?part=4&authuser=0 This is how I see a spring added to the retraction tendon. In this set up we avoid forcing on the servo either way of rotation and it also avoid losing tension in the tendons.
Have you already tried this ? If so, what kind of spring do you use, and where to buy it ? 🙂 (ok, I’m lazy 😉 )
No I haven’t tried yet, I want to order a box of various springs on ebay.
I really think this member activity stuff doesn\’t work well. But I can\’t seem to find a better way to make. I hate the videos that are cut in half. Seems also that it is difficult for you guys to post comments, because there is almost never comments on the posted pics and vids. Any suggestion about that?
I’m not really into site programming but when you go to activity the bar on the right is not needed any more. if this is removed you might have more room for the videos.
for the comments, Im looking almost every day to see what others are making. the comments are sometimes low but I think lots of people are watching.
I also found it a bit difficult to navigate the site. I just kept punching around until it functions as it should. I would also agree with dumping the update stream on the right side but leave the members activity button.
I have found that by using “copy and paste” into the text box is the easiest way to post You Tube videos. It is unfortunate that they are cut in half but by clicking on the name of who posted it, it takes you to the video. I too think that a lot of people look at the site but everyone leaves comments. I know I don’t comment on everything but I…[Read more]
Hi Bob, so if you want to post a video from your youtube account, you just copy paste it into the comment box?
Hi Gael, Yes. When you click share on your You Tube Video, it gives you that .http://youtu.be/…#. Copy that and paste it in the comments box. When you post your comments the video is attached.
