Does anybody know where to get a high res picture of the Inmoov with the stretched out arms on the website? I want to make a nice canvas print of it and hang in my study. Hope someone can help

  • Does I matter if I print all pieces of the torso and connect them all, then put the electronics in after? I’d like to put most of it together sense I have the filament but buy the electronics as I go. I’m also printing the torso before the arms. Can I connect the shoulders on too with out electronics?

    • Hay Richard,,,
You can build the chest plates Front and Back and the 2x vertical Centre beams – but “don’t permeant join those 4 section together—
Normally a permeant Join of anything without having the Electronics/Servos/Wires Mapped Out or a Escape Plan ,,,, is a No,,, No,,,
You can do a “Dry Run” at putting Section together – Small bits of t…[Read more]

  • I just knocked up this 3D image of the left forearm using NetFab Studio. I’m printing these parts now. I estimate that will take approximately 30 hours of printing time.

  • I finished the head and now working on the torso. I tried to fit the pieces but they won\’t connect together, do I have to shave the dove tails down; it seems like a lot of shaving?

    • I have to file all the dovetail pieces quite a bit to get them to fit. I guess it’s probably a printer calibration issue but mine is close enough that I would rather file some pieces than risk making it worse by fiddling with the settings.

    • Thanks. I have to chave them down a good amount to even get them to even fell, then I use vise grips or hammer with board to fit them.

I would figure if your printing the same parts with the same printer, all parts would be same x,y sizing even if the calibration is off. I could see an issue if decided to print using another printer though…[Read more]

      • Could it be that your printer is over extruding so there is a little more material around all the edges?

I had similar issue with my original printer. Have you tried gently heating the parts before pushing them together?

    • i thought that too. I saw some elephant foot on the base of my torso pieces. After removing them all around, I still have to shave the dove tails to get it to fit. I’m not complaining, I like the snug fit. I was just curious if its normal.

  • Here is my latest video. This time the left hand. Sorry for the poor quality.

    My first maker faire (zurich)
Lots of kids wanting to get Marvins attention by waving their arms. Voice commands got mostly ignored because of the noise level.
It was great to have the random movements running all the time but after 6 hours the batteries gave up.

    • Awesome pictures! Hopefully someday maker fair will be in my neck of the woods and I’ll be able to go. I like the bottom half of your base I can’t really tell but does it go up and down and do you have any diagrams to share . • Hello Mindless,
I’ve had similar problems, and more recently I was unable to upload the latest photos of Fred’s foot I just printed, however I had an internal server error when going to the album to upload.

      • @mindless, I too have posted a picture with no errors and then thought maybe it did not post and reposted and still not see it. I logged out and still not see my posts, cleared all cookies and started seeing them again? But I’m still not sure way.

    Bonjour,

    • Hello,
Most shipping are done through regular post, unless the country has serious issues with postage. (South Africa, China, and some others) I then need to require a courier which add extra cost to the buyer unfortunately.
Your country is normally working well through normal post, but I am mostly concerned if you forgot to add the zip code.
