i do a short video first test how work my leg but is not finich again it is a prototype again
Very nice! I see that you are becoming a 3d printer master after being the king of cartboard. I’m guessing what we see is for the knee rotation, correct? Did you finally use the motors of the drills you bought or is it with a servo.
yes you are true gael it is for knee yes i am always the king of cardboard lol i do all my tests with cardboard and when it is good i do on abs i use a drill motor for castorama 11 euros motor batterie charger ans very strong

@ambroise super, Really looking forward to see the video
hello the world it is so long time i dont give some new it is because il work to build my legs about the robot
Ehi nice project Amby! some videos in action!! And specification details! Controlled by MyRobotLab? Other builders will love that.
thank you gael i working to find a nice solution for my ankle and i do a video after for show everybody and in opensource 🙂

I had several ideas when I started to print the head. The large servo was more expensive than a small, so I tried to replace it with a standard size sero. I also wanted to mount a better camera in the head than a USB camera. My modified head contains a Raspberry PI 2 with a Raspberry Pi Camera module mounted in one of the eyes. It also contains…[Read more]
wooouu, setting the brain in the skull. What sort of camera did you set in? I tested my full InMoov with the Raspi2 and was a bit disapointed with latency. The Odroid U3 was also having latency… Let us know your Rasp2 acts when you will be using speech recognition along with OpenCV tracking, so we can share comparison.
I use a Raspberry PI Camera module connected directly to the Raspberry CSI port. I has really good quality for still pictures and video stream is OK. I tried to use it with MRL and the OpenCV service, but I got some error messages. I will sort it out with the developers of MRL. Thay are all very nice, skilled and helpful people.
Others have tested the Raspi Camera module into MRL with success. Your errors might be related to which version of MRL you are using. When I tested the camera with the Raspi2, I was using version 1.1.107 and it was working fine, though with latency.

This is a part of the Bicep. I use PLA, and it's not as soft as ABS. So when I tried to mount them together, it was impossible, because it wouldn't flex. But PLA gets soft at relativley low temperatures, so I used a heatgun at a low setting to heat the connections. After heating the plastics for a short while, it was easy to mount them together.…[Read more]
Great idea, I’m sure this will a lot of builders using PLA!
I should add this suggestion in the tutorial for PLA users if it is okay with you.
Yes, please. The main reason for me to share my experences is to help other builders.

Hand and forarm printed in black PLA. I use recessed M3 screws to hold it together. I drill a 3mm hole in the part to be mounted. In the part that it should be mounted to, I first drill a 2.3 mm hole and then I use a 3mm taps to make a thread. It's not easy to make the thread straigth by hand, so I mount it in a drill. The 8mm screws are made from…[Read more]
Tabing the holes really helps, it is what I also do. Unfortunately not everyone has this kind of tools. Great work by the way!

Here is Bob’s base for his InMoov. Nice and clean job, we can’t wait to see it moving around a little further.
Here is another use of InMoov in Russia, University Kharkov Ukraine. http://goodnewsagency.blogspot.fr/2015/03/robot.html
I created a tutorial for the Nervo board available on the shop, using some of Martens pictures, to help you during your assembly.

Ahaha, nice time laps! Once you will have the bottom stomach parts, you will need to remove the head to make him fit. Ready for Paris!!
thanks! yes i am ready for paris!

Very precise gesture, Markus!! I had done a video where I was grabbing a ball via InMoov using the Kinect and it was very delicate to achieve, Ahaha
Interesting solution. Have you tried to take by two fingers some things?

For the fun, what if we print a big hexapod for InMoov
Inmoov looks like something from Outer Limits.
Many will need to print, but the robot will go 🙂
Sooner or later, someone will make…
yeah that is likely possible!
Gael, what about anthropomorphic legs? What if to attach the tail with the wheels to the back the of the robot. The tail will confer resistance. The wheels can spin in one direction only.

Ah yes I had seen your post, but I couldn’t find in which topic it was posted. It is a good idea of course, as a temporary feature. I was thinking of using an assisting walker for the beginning. And then when we figure a better way for the robot to walk, we could remove it. And let him fall.…[Read more]

InMoov DJ !! After doing party, Robijn is now choosing his own MP3’s. Are you using Random the way it is used for talking?
Take a look at the script. http://myrobotlab.org/content/robyn-inmoov-playing-random-mp3-files#new
Robyn Inmoov starts listening.
Great, how does it “feel” you stand on a certain side? Is it because of the sound or is it with infrared sensors? Don’t the microphones get disturbed with the buzzing noise of the servos of the head?
it is the microphones! check out the script i am working on. http://myrobotlab.org/content/robyn-inmoov-starts-listening#comment-4780

Robyn Inmoov mini keyboard.
Hi Markus, is the keyboard connected in bluetooth to the PC? If yes, is it something you implemented into the script or is it implemented above MRL?
there is a receiver in a usb port on the computer at the back of Robyn. http://www.kjell.com/sortiment/dator-kringutrustning/datortillbehor/tangentbord/tradlosa-tangentbord/plexgear-mediatrack-point-p98788 and it works very good with MRL

my birthday so happy
Hey cool, you got a InMoov cap!!
salut gael oui on m a fait cadeau de ta casquette je pensais ne pas l avoir et je l ai eu super content en plus elle est tip top comme j aime
Very good job Markus!! Scary when InMoov lean sideway, I felt it was going to fall, ahaha.
Totaly effective. Grog suggested to get the opening of the jaw bigger according to the level of sound using software, that would be good too.

Robyn Inmoov rewiring and easy to disassemble.
Very nice Markus! Using a wide screen is good, I have chosen a much smaller screen to be mounted on the Odroid U3 and it is a bit hard to read on it. Very interesting way of connecting the arms, I like the hdmi cables. What power supply do you use for the servos, Others might be interested about that. Thanks for this instructive video!!!
Very beautiful design. We would like the photos with comments. You come up with the usage HDMI cable very nice.
Super! are you using the Neo Pixel Ring I use or is it done with color leds? If you use the Neo Pixel Ring, is it hooked to an extra Arduino or is it implemented within the two InMoov Arduinos?
Woo ooo, great idea! now InMoov can be made for domotic purpose.

very nice extra features for the Rock Paper Scissors play game. It is interesting how it seems like he really can understand what you are playing. For someone who doesn’t know, it can be very tricky.
Robyn understands me!!! this is no fake!!!! He chose rock scissors paper by random and asks me what i have. Then he understand my voice command and use variables to count the score.
Oh yes I know, I didn’t mean it was a fake. 🙂 I also use the rock paper scissors on my script, and what you have added is really interesting because of the variables counted from your answers. I have modified a bit the movements of that gesture before going to New York, because people had a hard time understanding how to process for the counting…[Read more]

Ehehe, cool pir detection and tracking, I’m wondering how you set your pir script to auto go on face tracking, I can’t even make him say “I was sleeping”. i’ve started the face tracking

Nice video. What program are you using to interact with InMoov?
ThanksI i am using myrobotlab and i found a way so i dont have to confirm all the commands i can talk with the robot without it saying Did you say…… i still have to program what the robot should listen to an what it should answer
I got your reply, not sure if you got mine. I sure would be interested in being able to do that. Can you post or send me a sample of the script you use?
i have a picture i want to send to you but i don’t know how
did you get the mail?

To Fred and others: https://groups.google.com/group/inmoov/attach/151d3d256a4108f0/spring%20tensioner1.jpg?part=4&authuser=0 This is how I see a spring added to the retraction tendon. In this set up we avoid forcing on the servo either way of rotation and it also avoid losing tension in the tendons.
Have you already tried this ? If so, what kind of spring do you use, and where to buy it ? 🙂 (ok, I’m lazy 😉 )
No I haven’t tried yet, I want to order a box of various springs on ebay.
I really think this member activity stuff doesn\’t work well. But I can\’t seem to find a better way to make. I hate the videos that are cut in half. Seems also that it is difficult for you guys to post comments, because there is almost never comments on the posted pics and vids. Any suggestion about that?
I’m not really into site programming but when you go to activity the bar on the right is not needed any more. if this is removed you might have more room for the videos.
for the comments, Im looking almost every day to see what others are making. the comments are sometimes low but I think lots of people are watching.
I also found it a bit difficult to navigate the site. I just kept punching around until it functions as it should. I would also agree with dumping the update stream on the right side but leave the members activity button.
I have found that by using “copy and paste” into the text box is the easiest way to post You Tube videos. It is unfortunate that they are cut in half but by clicking on the name of who posted it, it takes you to the video. I too think that a lot of people look at the site but everyone leaves comments. I know I don’t comment on everything but I…[Read more]
Hi Bob, so if you want to post a video from your youtube account, you just copy paste it into the comment box?

very cool! Man the students are going to go wild! If you get a minute (not sure you will) please make a picture, I would love to see that.
I made some shoulder modifikation for cables
Aaah, I had been wanting to do that for a long time! Because the cables sometimes get stucked and if they run in the rotation center it is more logic and simple. I have added your Thingy to the Derivatives collection in Download tab.
I’m glad you like it 🙂

Just starting in on building the head , jaw and neck… Already printed a few of the parts, they seem to fit together pretty well.
Great. Pictures, pictures, pictures!
Very nice! Do you plan to print the other arm? When I run my InMoov with only one arm attached to the torso, I find it very unbalanced. The pressure applied on the whole structure is more heavy, it’s logic. Have you been able to use voice commands with MyRobotLab?
Yes i have just start printing the other arm..At the moment i am using a SSC-32 servo controller so i have not tried ardoino or my robbotlab. I am going to download and test it later.I have bin learning a little bit of pic processors and programming them . I have made simple circuit boards in other projects.
but i have never used ardoino before so i am excited to learn more.about it.
