this is a video of Amy doing a demonstration for a coding club a while back.
I originally struggled with an UP plus 2 printer in my first attempt…no offence to up owners but with my Zortrax M200 this time around has been an absolute delight. Everything fits perfectly first time. Thanks Gael for all the upgrades to the head! The encapsulated nuts for joining the skull sections work a treat, and the eye mechanism has…En afficher davantage

From Tokyo, here we go! A long way to go but I canno wait! Let’s do it! 🙂
hello tokio!!! be carefull this is addictive! once u got the finger you wont stop! Btw in japan, doesnt exist projects like this?
you might want to use this enhanced pulley from Mat as it avoids lose strings and allows for more precise movements. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1157705
Thank you juerg! I’ll check them out!
Thanks again juerg! the worked perfectly! 😉

Replacing a broken HS805 with a Blue Bird BMS-L530MG in the bicep. Its available at 20 Eu from hobbyking. Almost same specs but a bit shorter. It’s easy to remove the pot as it has a floating controller board. Downside is it has a smaller servo horn and so the rigid plate connector included with the HS805 does not fit. You can find the adjusted…En afficher davantage

Parts look really nice. Did you do a lot of treatment after printing?
oh yes… lots of sanding and filling and sanding again :))
Looks great. What’s the part on the right?
i’m also building an life-size R2D2… that’s one foot and the battery box 😀
R2D2 what a nice companion it would be for InMoov. Is it also available as open source or where did you get the .stl’s from?
yes it’s open source https://www.thingiverse.com/bobbyshomerul/collections/r2d2

This is my solution to mounting the LifeCam 3000 cameras. I used felt pads to bring the camera forward and the lens sits in the back of the eye piece This position prevents the iris showing in the corners of the image I glued the parts together on the basis that if the camera fails I will reprint the eyes and holders. Hope this helps other builders
Thanks for the update. Timely, my camera just arrived today.
Also I glued the camera to the eye but not really necessary and if you have trouble locating the eyeball then insert pins in the screw holes
Have started printing everything.. It take some time……

Looking awesome now with the new back.
Looks great Markus, where did you get the battery cover panel from?
Hi! I printed a 2 mm thick and used a hot airgun to shape it.
Good idea, I need to do the same thing for where the computer goes, as I’m not putting a computer on my InMoov at this time. Maybe some one out there can make a filler plate for this space.
Did you do the same thing for the covers you have on the back of the Biceps?
No I found those on thingiverse
One piece chest tutorial posted to forum.
Waiting for my new back to be finished !

Almost finished, also printed the back 🙂
hi Aldric – now you have finished please explain your process for the finishing – looks very good
I used vinyl ester resin on top of the 3D parts, used 4 coats, than i used sand paper to smooth out the surfaces, then i used 3M Polish 09639. Just the ester, paint brushes and polish cost me 150 euros.

InMoov Head with less holes Finished design of a face/skull version with lesser number of parts. You need a print bed size of 20 * 15.5 * 10 to print them
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1636086
Hey, this was awesome. I printed it up.
Thanks for your feedback, glad you can use it! You need to spread the face a bit when mounting it over the jaw mechanism but it wasn’t difficult.
I printed your inmoov face, its very nice, I will try the jaw mechanism later and will show you the job finished
