Neck test 3
2x 16 channel PCA9685 servo driver PCA9685 #1: JX PDI-6221MG servo (centre neck piston) @ 330Hz PCA9685 #2: MG 996 R servos (left and right neck pistons) @ 60Hz Raspberry Pi 3 MyRobotLab…[Read more]
Neck servo test 2 MyRobotLab PDI JX 6221 MG servos Raspberry Pi 3 PCA9685 servo controller
Your second test seems quieter, or that a deception? Did you make changes to reduce the noise?
In the initial tests I ran the servos at 100% velocity
In subsequent tests I’ve been running them at 30% velocity
It makes a small difference in terms of the noise 🙂
To be honest, I feel that I just need to apply more silicone grease on the pistons to make things smoother

AKASH Inmoov is awarded at ITM GOI , GWALIOR (INDIA)
do not give up – some additional parts to add! The stand looks like being able to support a complete InMoov. And be careful with fire – or is it not a flame?
32 servo connections in the head – PCA9685 I2C

32 servo connections in the head PCA9685 I2C
Thanks Mats: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:992918
Nice to see. Are you planning to use 32 servos in the head, or is the plan to move one of the PCA9685’s to the body. I use one in the body and one in each arm. That makes the cable routing much easier and opens up for adding other i2c devices, like IMU, AD converters and other funn stuff. I have a few new i2c devices on my desk, waiting for me to…[Read more]
Hi Mats The 32 servo connections over I2C will cover all the connections for eyes, neck, fingers with some to spare
I’m running with 20Kg PDI 6221-MG servos for the heavy duty lifting (biceps, shoulders, hip rotation).
Those particular servos don’t seem to play nice with the PCA9685.
It looks like it may be related to the guidance here on…[Read more]

I finally decided that the time had come to finish my InMoov. After some grinding, the hardware is now complete to 98 %. 🙂
After trying some of the most recent versions of MyRobotLab (and failing miserably), I tried the older “Kraken” version (1.0.1723) and things worked a lot better. So far I have bricked two LiPo batteries calibrating all…[Read more]
how can you complete the legs with only 2% left??? be patient with MRL – switching to an older version was a good move. Wait for Manticore – I hope we will see that within the next 2 month’s
What is Manticore, juerg? *asks curiosly*
Manticore is the name of the next stable MyRobotLab release
Any info on how it is progressing and possible releasedate?
Hi Olli You can see project issues and progress here (you might need a free github account to access it) https://github.com/orgs/MyRobotLab/projects/1

My Marvin has now a movable base like Markus has built one quite long ago. Now I need Calamity to add a few things to MRL to get rid of the joystick and have it find its targets by itself!
InMoov, left hand and forearm Note that in error, I assembled the rotating wrist with the wrist joint rotated 180 degrees compared to Gael’s design
I’ll be reassembling 🙂
The hand is here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1191262
Hi Rolf, I am very impressed with the fun move hand. It looks excellent. I’m going to build one as well. I have ordered flexible pla for the joints. Am I correct in assuming you only run five strings to the servos to close the fingers and you don’t need the other five strings to open them as well? Can you tell us more of what you have done with…[Read more]

i have seen many images of InMoov on google images can anyone please post my InMoov image on google images please
…..that’s not how Google images works 🙂
Google bots crawl the web looking for pictures to auto index. It will eventually show up. Try doing a Google search on inmoov and include your name.
I just google Inmoov and your first name. It shows a picture of you and your Inmoov, posted 3 days ago.
made be Akash dixit I am from Gwalior (INDIA)
cool ! Byt why put the metal stick so inside? Is there enough space for the neck servo?
I have looked at your build several times. And really like the top of the head painted black, it give Inmoov a distinctive look. Nice build Akash.

Hello Geal: I’m a college student from China –Shanghai Jiaotong University(SJTU), perhaps you are not familiar with it ,but it is one of the most famous university in China. And at present, we have a team working on the InMoov project . Firstly I want to express my gratitude for your generosity about the design, and to be honest, each of the…[Read more]

Forearm alternate with more variations for hand positions?
Anybody interested in helping design an alternate InMoov forearm? I would like to move wrist rotation back into the elbow – eliminating string issues with wrist rotation. I would like to add more DOF for hand direction, something similar to Bob Huston head. I would also like to use…[Read more]
