Might be travelling to south korea in automn 2019. Would like to meet one or more builders. Any hint how to accomplish that?

Oh K here it is
oO I like the orange neck. have you started with any electronics yet?
Actually i had a few servos sitting around from other projects and setting up the eye mechanism , jaw and neck also have the all cameras will be working more on that part next week , right now i am doing a crash course in myrobotlab which i wae not familiar with, i been using other programs , but so far no problem , trying to get the prints done…En afficher davantage

I was able to calibrate my printer to get most of the parts to push fit. However still struggling with getting some neck pistons and shafts that work together right off the print-bed. I got a prusa I3. What slicer software and general settings are peeps using? I was going with 20% infill and 3 perimeters with .25mm layer height. Thinking about…En afficher davantage
I have an anet a6 and found that I got best results using slic3r pe and using .16 layer. I also used 30% infill. First piston I did, I had .24 and it was a pain, when I went to .16 all others are smooth as.
great thanks, think I will take it a lil lower and try a .1 layer height and see how that goes.

This is my IOS programming environment I’m still making progress developing an iOS app to control a robot. Thank you Gael, InMoov is a great platform to do this kind of experiments. I choose MQTT as a wireless communication protocol between the app and the Bot. On the Inmoov side routes a raspberry PI 3+ the protcol to the nervo boards. A web s…En afficher davantage
This is wonderful! great work. I look forward to seeing your progress.
Working on head torso and arms assembly
prove it 😛

The right angle pins have finally arrived 🙂
I broke my printer so had to make a new part with the help of my Dad.
ask your dad to make all the parts of InMoov with some serious material!
More Eyes.
More Eyes. I think I need to lose the blue LED.
More Eyes and HD camera mount. I coloured the eyes with a permanent marker. Will repaint when I can get some paint.
Yes the eye holders are upside down!!
More Eyes
Looks Great, I am pretty much same spot as your are in the build. what did you use to hold down the cameraboard? the holes are tiny, I was thinking about some silicone to hold them in place but maybe the middle eye part will hold it down tight enough.
I used a little hot glue to hold it in place on the corners.
Starting the eyes 🙂
More head and neck. Not happy with the skull cover. They have warped – need a reprint

Progress so far after a two year break. Great to be building again.

Been pumping out the parts for a little over a month now and just about got everything but the legs and cover parts printed. Now starting to assemble, still need some nervo boards. hoping the back order isn’t too delayed as I am ordering one tomorrow.
That is going to be one colourful robot 🙂

Dear Community, I am having trouble understanding two Lines of Code maybe one of you could help me out. 1. ear.addListener(« recognized », « python », « heard ») i am not sure how exactly it works or what it does 2. data = msg_i01_ear_recognized.data[0] I think this one stores the last heard words in data but I am not sure. I am thankful…En afficher davantage
Hmm… yeah ya know I am not to sure about that one. Are you having any errors thrown around that? I am just now starting to play with code myself.
No, it just doesn’t work http://www.myrobotlab.org/content/robyn-inmoov-play-rock-paper-scissors I even tried the same code and it didn’t work
I’m waiting for the 3 pin right angle headers. Whilst I wait I made a test lead. Here I am testing voice command to control a servo.
Started the head
Looking Great!

I probably need a guideline on how to deal with the nervo-board. Anyone have any idea?

Hello builders. I\’m new to Inmoov but planning to work on it. Does anyone have any suggestion or reference on how to start? Currently planning to build the head and neck part.
Gael recommends a hand to start with. Will give you challenges in printing, assembling, controlling. Afterwards the rest is not so difficult to accomplish but takes a lot of time!
Because I’m having my Final Year Project currently, and due the limitation of cost, building head and neck is the only way for me to accomplish my task and target, hha. I’m searching for someone to guide me and to discuss together throughout the building process.
OK, did not read your request properly. Have you decided what kind of neck you want to build, the single piston up/down or the double piston, which allows to move in more directions? I have also created an alternate for the head with less parts and holes – https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1636086
It’s Okayy. Erm, I was targeting to build on the neck proposed by Bob Houston, as the link attached below. I wonder is that a good suggestion? Since, there are a lot of people working on it. Link : https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1243403
Wow. That’s cool. I’ll consider about it.
bob huston neck is fine. I built one once not for me but for a friend. I encountered problems with the piston head and the connector to the servos. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1614949 Make sure you get stl’s that are proven as working or latest versions. I also do not know whether proper kinematics exist for the neck (I mean not just moving…En afficher davantage

Have been through the BOM but would love feedback on any experiments with cheaper servos – has anyone tried alibaba – there looks to be some good looking servos being made in China for import…
Cheap servos will kill you. They do not run smoothly, will easily burn up, and stop working after some time. Some of them are also rather challenging to replace. Better to leave e.g. one arm/shoulder unmotorized and have the other one working fine.
The plan was to get down to the waist and then start buying the electronics – almost there, also thinking about a new printer design, to add to the one i have already but maybe a little bigger and no A frame – started sketching…..
Since then I found my way to the InMoov web site and have set about printing the parts and trial fitting, whilst learning about and tuning my printer, these days the scrap pile is a lot smaller than the keep pile!!
One i had a working machine i needed a project, i came across the InMoov hand on the thing verse and thought I would give it a go, wow! Fun fun fun!
I started off wanting to build a 3D printer from scratch. I had heard about the rep rap wiki and decided to take a look – got the bug, no cure! I liked the look of the A frame type so set about making one out of raw materials and a set of printed parts – so much fun!

Going all out with my Inmoov, printed most of the head (with several parts joined to form bigger ones with less seams). Decided to go with the speaker ears so volume could be better heard. 🙂
