Just getting started out, I’m really looking forward to the whole adventure of building this, I have been teasing my 17 year old son that I’m building a replacement son for when he leaves Home.
I’m just having a bit of a problem with where to fit the extra servo for the articulated thumb, I can’t find a rob part for the arm with the extra 4…En afficher davantage
Hay Simon ,,,Last time a looked at the articulated thumb by Anar it is just a manual adjuster with no Servo based movement,,,,
Thanks Mindless, it was just looking through Gael’s instructions for the forearm build, he seemed to have 4 holes in the side which you have to redrill and put the bushings from the servo in. All the files I’ve found so far don’t seem to have those 4 holes and I don’t know where to put them.
Hay your right they did get the extra Servo hooked and-up working by the looks of it,,, but i have No idea on using it,,, -I’m still a primate when comes to certain stuff,,,,, and the control mechcanizime for the fingers is one of them ,,,,, sorry dude
You have to make a choice, either you use an extra servo for thumb or you set the spring tensioner. Both are to be set at the same location. Personaly I was never thrilled about that extra thumb actuation, because the demonstration videos I had seen didn’t convince me. But regardless, you can still attach the servo, there is holes to set three…En afficher davantage
Thanks Gael, it’s great to have your personal input, this is such an incredible project. I think I’ll take your advice and stick to the original design, I wasn’t happy with the way that thumb joint printed anyway. Do you have any suggestions as to where to source the springs? I’m having a real problem trying to find any. Also, what is their o…En afficher davantage

Yes! Now we are talking about maybe InMoov walking for 2018. First InMoov step was done in 2017, but with legs that couldn’t really support the body parts.

Nice prints you have there 🙂 Which brand of filament are you using?
Currently using PLA+ by Esun –,, its tough as hell ( flexible ) and it doesn’t swell like other filaments but getting a good surface finish took a while to tune-in,,,,, great for prototyping parts never have a first layer issues on cold beds and its cheap,,,,,, this is a pic of the Screw/Bolt Together Arm — got to some more mod work the B…En afficher davantage

Hi. Just a question. Now I am printing the correct parts, things are alot better. Although I have stuck one problem. The Jaw wont acclude totally, is that normal? Here is the face at the moment and as you can see. what seems to be the problem is the position of the Under Ear plate connector hitting the Jaw rear block. Any thoughts? Hi. I needed to trim the Face Holders to allow the Ear Sides to sit on correctly. Has anyone done a mod of these to make more room, or is there a good way to edit the stls for these?
Hello John, These parts normaly don’t need refining, I checked again the models and I have a gap between the parts of about a 1mm which lets them assemble correctly. http://inmoov.fr/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Face-connection.png The piece you have doesn’t have the nut holder, so I suspect its an older…En afficher davantage

This is my son dream , I just his helper.
Hi. So I am starting to reprint my inmoov from scratch. I started with some cheap filament that came on 250g rolls, but now I am buying 1kg rolls but its whiter and I want a uniform print. But, if I decided to spray the parts like I see some people have done, what do people use. I assume I would need to sand the surface. What Grits would you use…En afficher davantage
I had some not so nice joins between parts after a glue failure, so I hid the ugliness with some nice red paint. The result were quite reasonable. I would not suggest…En afficher davantage

Hello InMoov builders! Here is a view of the knee actuation. This is done via MyRobotLab with the DIY Servo service. More to come with the Ankle and Thigh actuation.
Awesome,,, It’s great to see your R&D work on his mechanical operation for this section–,,,
This is awesome, How long before we start to see the files for the different parts? I am very interested in the files for the feet and ankle drive system.
Thanks Mindless!
Well, I am waiting for some components from AliExpress which need to be tested before release. Just for info this is already my third knee design, which all three were pretty different. R&D takes a long time and my problem is that I don’t only work on the legs.

Hay Guys Mr Gael,,, just wondering about these X2 Nut/Bolt Holes when they line up the “Front Skin” is sticks out by 3.8mm — ,, is this meant to be like this ? –,,
Hello Mindless, You must have the first version, this was an issue that was reported a few days after I posted the parts. I have modified since then. ( I had mixed a piece of the motorized legs with the non motorized when uploading) ThighLowRightV3.stl ThighLowLeftV3.stl
No worries,,, I’ll download the new V3 Parts,,,, I really should of checked that out first but it didn’t even occur to me to have a look for a updated part,,,, anyway cheers mate–,,
Yes, this must happen to many people. I see some builders still printing the original hand that I posted in 2011 on Thingiverse, instead of the updated version from the site.
Darn, I must have printed the early versions. I’m all glued up too. One of the pains of being one of the first printers. Oh well, mine seem to align a bit better and since I have a color transition it is not noticeable.
Hey yes, that’s the privilege to use beta version! You should see the boxe of beta pieces that are unused in my workshop… Anyway the motorized legs will require to almost reprint it all. 🙂

Non les voix de Voxygene ne sont pas prise en charge, à moins que celle-ci puissent être utilisé par LocalSpeech. Nice legs! I am kidding… Good progress, what is your plan about that TV drama CF? Can you tell me more about it?
It seems to be CF related to American drama to be broadcast in Korea. CF is a scene where a robot with AI is talking to a person, and Inmoov will be used at that time. Maybe Inmoov is only moving Jaw.
Please Answer me , I need your approval …^^
Okay, It’s nice if the robot is seen in Korea!
