    • Downloaded these this morning. Very nice.

      • Glad you like him,, had to rush the skull pieces cos I lost the original version , The next version I will release has had hundreds of hours put into him- he might look the same but he’s not,,, all the interior parts and Gearbox’s have had complete re-builds,,,plus some of the exterior parts have joined together for larger prints but not mod…En afficher davantage

Good question Perry- This is one use of a hundred mods/uses you can do with -3d Inmoov-
This mod allows the servo and gear to be positioned by just loosening and tightening the grub screw- You send the command line to the servo to adjust its position,,—,,then adjust the gear to the position you want,,, and then tighten the screw ,, I wasn’t s…En afficher davantage

It was easy with the heat gun en some CA glue.
Now the attention wont be drawn to the shadow in the for head as much

@admin Hi Gael first of all bon noël pour toi, this is the rest of my french learned in school many years ago.
My question is what about the legs, I saw many videos from you and inmoov legs but I have no idea how I can realize them. Is there any publishing planned ?

    Best regards Thomas1

Hello ! I\’m trying to build two inmoov arms and I\’m just starting to look at the electronics. I have taken a few years of programming (java and C++) and I\’m wondering why myrobotlab is being used instead of the arduino IDE exclusively, besides voice control. Can somebody explain the purpose of each program?

    • Hi Ashley,

      Welcome to the InMoovers 🙂

MRL is (in my eye’s) much stronger/faster then Arduino IDE/Boards itself.
It’s running at a faster system then a single Aduino board, so there are much more options possible.
And the InMoov is a default Robot in MRL which is cool and more easy for beginners.
There are some Python script made by other…En afficher davantage

After a long long time I have restarted my inmoov.
I had some alignment issues with the PLA parts but i re-calibrated every thing and now I can restart this winter project again.

The only thing I have’nt figured out is how to get rid of the big gaps in the head en the chest plates.
Maybe al need to glue them together.
My pistons are making a loud…En afficher davantage

    • at least for the head you might find alternate parts that help to reduce the gaps. you can also try to fill the gaps with filler, 3d filament pistols or use a dremel filled with short filament pieces and do something like smoldering the pieces together. be prepaired to do a lot of sanding to get a good result

    • When It comes to using fillers/putty’s- there’s basically 4 types- stuff you use for -plaster board- in home building /renovation work– and there’s -Model putty- and there’s also the type for auto repairs with fibreglass reinforcement and a version without fibreglass reinforcement – and there’s Plaster Of Paris and Moulding Types
      The Plaster boa…En afficher davantage

I think I am going to attack it with a heat-gun and slowly heat up some parts and see if I can bend some parts a bit in to shape.

To be honest I don’t really like a smooth baby bottom head 😀
Getting the gaps closer together is enough for me.
I will post some pictures when it done.

      • Funny you should say that,,, I’m not a fan of putty’s and paints either on my 3d printed stuff,,, my father was a panel beater back when car where made of Metal and I’ve done Moulding/ Home Renovation work before so I got pretty knowledge of putty’s / Fillers and Plaster,,,, Got a top of line heat Gun to fix parts that are warp are need a little…En afficher davantage

  • Hello InMoovers,

I like to include the FSR (Force Sensitive Sensor) to all my finger servo’s.
    https://learn.adafruit.com/force-sensitive-resistor-fsr
For the starter_kit I’ve re-designed some servo adapter things, to make it possible to slide the servo forwards/backwards.
Next step, is the position-holder for the FSR.

To get a idea how it looks:…En afficher davantage

    Hello Community,

I started last week printing the Torso almost done, I will jump to the top stomach next.

Does any know how to place your self on the InMoov World Map?

  • Hello Community,

Just sharing the fact, that I started printing all day and all night 🙂
Is there an advice on which servos to get ? Can anyone give me the sizes for the servos to be able to find if the mentioned models are not available ?

    Thanks and Cheers
    Werner

    • Hello,, are you talking about the ¼ scale HITECH -HS-805BB- which are the big ones for his biceps/shoulders and stomach,,etc.,,, or the medium size for his Forearms..?—or both,,, there’s a million and one servos and sizes out there on the market-,,, I will do I couple of pictures with measurements of the Inmoov servo housing this week so peop…En afficher davantage

      • As a start just about the servos for the forearm and the fingers and I will search for the HS-805BB, right now I don’t want to spend a fortune 😉 and thanks for the quick reply. It is just fun to see one part after the other to be printed…

        • Cool,,, the Servo list in the “Hardware Map +BOM” in the “Build Yours” list Mr Gael put together is about the best you will find on the subject ,,,

    • the million and one unfortunately is the truth – make sure you get the right dimensions to make them fit onto the printed parts or be prepared that you need to modify the parts before printing to match your servo’s dimensions.
you can also find some alternate parts in gaels alternate section or on thingiverse that will fit other servo dimensions.…En afficher davantage

      • As I have been not very lucky finding any alternatives that are the same quality and/or cheaper I guess I will go with he suggest servos to be sure everything is working fine. I will report the progress. Printing time so far 273 hours and counting…

        • Don’t be afraid of buying the- MG995 or the MG946R,,, about $7 each,, you can almost do one hand for the price of one- HK15298B servo,,, you can always upgrade later on,,,,

        • be sure to have something like this in place for the big servos

An error in a script and an unreachable neck position – just burned another HS805BB so badly, it burned a hole into the case and I can still smell the odor of death when entering the house.I have added now readjustable fuses for all of my large servos (PFRA 160, Reichelt.de).Hope this prevents future smoke!- juerg (@juerg) July 24, 2016
