Since the last video generated some interest in my build of the InMoov robot (Fred) I thought I would pull off one of his arms and give you a look inside.
Great job Ray. The print look outstanding.
And that was done with what was then a very cheap CTC printer back in 2017. The printer also had errors in the calibration of the X and Y axis, so all joints had to be filed to make them fit.
So even with a crappy print, you can still build a working Inmoov 🙂
It\’s been a while since I did anything with the Inmoov project. So I decided to print the Inmoov statue again, but this time at 300 mm tall. Came out OK. But have a look for yourself 🙂

Hello everyone, Regarding OpenCV services, I found and tried a lot of available scripts of face tracking and face recognition but no one of them works, my question is can you share the right link of face tracking and face recognition script to start with it. thanks in advance for your response. regards,
Hello, If you use the config files and the START_INMOOV.bat, it works properly with the version available on InMoov website (Manticore). No need to run a script. But if you really want to use a script I just tested this one and it works with Manticore 1.0.2693.15 https://github.com/MyRobotLab/pyrobotlab/blob/develop/home/hairygael/InMoov3.minimalHead.py

Looking really good. I like the pictures on the black background.
Good job!
Thank you both! I use an open source program called gimp to remove the background. Looks good on white, but it looks better on black.
Good work. Totally agree on the black background, make it looks better.

I reinstall many time of MRL InMoov when IMoov error. After install last time, i found that InMoov lost to answer anythings which he could find from internet to answer to me as before. Are there suggestion to solve this things my friends? Thank you.
Hello, You do not need to re install everytime you get an error. If you want to re install, create a new directory as for example: C:Mrlmyrobotlab.1.0.2693NEW/ And install inside the new directory. This way you can keep the other version with all your settings. Since the 13/02/20, I also noticed that the non local (ask.pannous server) request…En afficher davantage
Hello, Good news, the ask.pannous server is back up and working again. Request can be done on the internet. To test, you can ask the robot for example: How much is 46 + 586 ?

hello All
can anyone guide me with an instruction about how to modify AIML and chatbot and work with them . Thanks
Hello, You can edit the AIML in Sublime Text, make your modifications and save them. When running START_INMOOV.bat you can use the chatbot tab to test your modifications on the fly by clicking on the button « Restart (w/o AIMLif) »
I edit my modification and save the file in the chatbot directory , but when i run START_INMOOV it take very long time to download my modification to be able to start chatting (more than 30 minute ) do i have to wait, or i am doing something wrong?
I think it depend on how big my codes is , when i saved very short file it load the chatbot quickly , but when i saved a longer one it take very long time to Load the chatbot , so do i have to wait for 2 hour maybe?
If it takes too long to load the AIML it’s because there is a error in your modifications. You can check the log screen and see if an error appears. In most cases it says where is the error and which line in which file. In Manticore, it is good to throw away all the AIMLIF csv files when you make modifications to the AIML. The AIMLIF are…En afficher davantage

Gael Gracias por tu paciencia .tngo montada la mano derecha con 6 servos ylos muevo con la swingui pero nose como ejecutar los gestos guardaduos en gestures
Hello, If you use the configs and run the START_INMOOV.bat, you can call any gestures by voice commands. You need to follow this tutorial on how to start and work with MyRobotLab:
HOWTO Start MyRobotLab
Steps 6 to 9
Did anyone use JX PDI-HV2060MG and get problem to unscrew the bolts of this servo? I am going open this motor but can not unscrews these 2 bolts. I am going to replace Hitec HS805BB on shoulder of InMoov!
Strange, I had no difficulties unscrewing these screws on my HV2060MG. You could try to gently warm up the aluminium casing with hot gun to help releasing these screws.
Do i need to open these 2 screws to make 360 rotation of servo motor? I got some recommendation to no necessary to take these 2 screws. Is that right?
You need to remove the end stop pin on the main gear to make sure the servo can be continuous. Therefore you do need to get those two screws.
Thanks, it is clear to me.

Here is my latest progress video. This time I look at the NeoPixel ring.
Nice video! The gap inside the ring, where you have placed the condensator, is for to mount a single led, right behind the OpenSource logo of the Finger print. That’s the reason I initially designed it. You can see it in my video: https://youtu.be/MeL36vwMBQo
Ah, that’s interesting, thanks. I always have the option to change things around. This robot design is so versatile.
In MyRobotLab I selected 16 led neopixel ring, but only 12 leds light up. Anyone know if this is an issue with myrobotlab or maybe I have a bad neopixel ring.
Have you change neopixel number in config file (neopixel) in folder inmoov/config?
I just worked on the neopixel ring and works fine for me
Have you had any luck with this? I was having a similar issue. I wasn’t sure if it was hardware, wiring or software. I ended up removing the signal resistor and using Arduino IDE. I was able to run example animations on all pixels just fine thereafter. Still no luck though in MRL.
Hi. For me it’s working fine. I’m just connecting neopixel +v, ground and input to Arduino and starting Arduino and neopixel service on MRL. I’m able to control neopixel from MRL … changing animations and so on.

making progress
I’m trying something different to connect the two halves of each of the bicep covers. Rather than glue, I am using a 3d printing pen to weld the parts together. So far, it is working fantastic and it produces a very strong bond!
Result looks great ! like the idea of 3d printing pen. Also useful for finger joints.
That’s an interesting approach.
It is also quite a useful tool for repairing damaged prints avoiding reprinting the entire part. Saves printer time and material!

Hi. I would like to find some info on the \ »double actuation thumb\ » mentionned in the tutorial FOREARM AND BICEPT
Hello, Here is the link. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:28124 Note that, it has been abandoned because the movement was not probant.
Thank you very much. Knowing that you must be a very busy person, I did not expect such a quick response. What a pleasure it is to be associated.

WOW! It looks great Tonzatonka. Do you have all the servos working?
Thank You ! I have all the eyes, head and neck servos running, but no others yet. Trying to strike a balance between printing the parts and purchasing the servos.

Hello everyone.
I would like just to ask how much white filaments and how much black filaments do I need to print entire inmoov robot ? If it is possible to tell in measure kg (kilograms)? I saw in hardware mape that says about 4kg for white filament and about 2kg for black filament.I am asking just to be sure.
Thank you in advance.
cuando digo \ »OPEN HAND\ » me contesta :is not in your installed base\ ».Como lo imstalo? por favor.
Hello, Which version of MyRobotLab do you use? And in which language? As far as I know, none of the current official released version can respond « is not in your installed base ».

bonjour Gael, ce serait tellement sympa de m\’envoyer les fichiers inmoov complets pour blender, je veux voir si je peux simuler des mouvements, merci marcos.barraza@gmail.com
Nice video as usual ! Thx for sharing. I’m curious .. which material and printer (speed) are you using? (general question). I’m using PLA and anycubic mega s (100mm/s)
I’m using PLA and my printer is a Creality CR10. I’m not sure about the speed I would have to check.
Very cool ! Congrats !
You are so kind. Thank you very much! What a fantastic project!
Great video. I like it to see when people make their own python gestures.

I am using 5K ohm potentiometers and am thinking about changing it to 10K because the 5K is too sensitive for the Bicep Servo.
I ran an example servo script that comes in Arduino Software to test the wrist servo and it works fine but when I use the NervoBoard to control the Wrist, it seems to not have enough power or maybe the impedance is not tuned correctly. I have the MRL Servo test sweeping from 0 to 180 and the wrist moves but just a tiny bit. Anyone experience this problem?
I figured it out. The MG 996R Servo was placed backwards and got hot and now theres a short across the motor inside the servo. Easy fix is to replace the motor.
Hello, How do you power your NervoBoard? Do you have a voltmeter to check if you have the correct voltage coming to the servo?
I power the NervoBoard with a Power Supply that is at 6V Constant. I’m not sure what was the root cause but I was able to replace it with an HS485B with no problem.
Hello, Possibly your extracted potentiometer that is damaged or a bad soldering on the potentiometer wires.
